  • i just came back today from my first flight. ive been on three now in the first time. i went over there and came back and we had to stop to get on another one. i was a lil scared but it was awesome. i love planes!!!!!!!

  • You lucky bastard I never get to go on 777's I envey you

  • RR hast the best ever sound !

  • awesome awesome video!

  • OMG!!!! i cn see the area of my house from 8:20-9:06 XDXDXDXD Torrance

  • The guy filming the engine is thinking....."wow, that thing could surely make some monster margaritas!" The blonde stewardess walks by the engine thinking...."big deal, that engine's got nothing over ME!"

  • I have flown the Emirates A380 and many 777s and two A330-300s. I must admit the Airbus product does tend to be a bit quieter, but the overall rides seem to be the same. I simply love the sounds of the engines on the 777, 767, and 757.

  • i have always thought about the idea of hitching a tow ride on a glider with a cable attached to the back of a commercial airliner.

  • @210482fmj

    Read the description....

  • Where Were you and what flight was it?

  • This had to be a long flight. You were practically flying halfway around the world.

  • You have done a excellent job welldone thanks for sharing this great video awesome plane.

  • Rolls-Royce Trent 800's I think

  • great video..beautifulll!!!!!

  • Been here, done this, LHR - ORD was my first time on a 772. Sitting a little further back you dont get the same sort of sound as this, but at 41000ft cruising over the Atlantic, those Rollers were but a dull rumble, and my bourbon barely rippled!

  • Look at that wingflex

  • Great video

  • mesmerizing...

  • Looks like a RR Trent

  • An engine at work in his natural environment. Nice reel!

  • I am soooo scared of flying!!! But scary and good video! :D

  • Excellent video, thanks for uploading.

  • excellent video amigo i love the sound of the trent engine saludos from el salvador

  • I Turn my logitech Z506 speakers to max, listen this and it feels like i'm on the airport XD

  • nice video

  • The problems with Qantas has nothing to do with the quality of work the mechanics are producing it has to do the big boys at the top wanting to outsource jobs to other countries to cut costs which means less jobs for Australian mechanics like my self, that's only problem we really have but we never let it effect our quality of work.

  • @Onekeenflyer

Thanks for the indie information. My hopes and prayers are for you lot. A mechanic is perhaps teh most important person in aviation. QANTAS (big wigs) dont get it...but I wont tell you what you already know. Keep up the good work! (I personally stick to your bullet proof 744's when I fly down under from the US. Best plane ever made, after the 747SP - which I also flew when QANTAS had it as well! That was a different era...)

    Godpseed.

  • @onecunningfox on the route to london does it do a u turn first then head back over california or is that some island off in the middle of the ocean?

  • @demshion23

Yes - as per my description it is called a SIDS LOOP4 Dagget Departure.

  • @Onekeenflyer Its not the big boys at the top of Qantas, its the Government of Australia who have opened up the Australian Skies to every tom dick and harry so much so that Qantas cannot compete. This is only my opinion. If the Government cared about Qantas and its Employees, they would restrict foreign airlines coming into Australia.

  • I know this sounds crazy but i had a dream that i was talking to somebody about how great the 777 is and in the dream this person said to me "don't go on that".

  • lol very funny thorough description of your takeoff..the airbust and thank you for not showing us your feet?do some people actually do that?...the triple 7 is an awesome jumbo aircraft..hope to fly it one day.

  • Do you know if the engines are G.E. or Pratt whittney? Awesome vid!!!

  • @devastator2110

    Roll Royce Trent.

  • Do you know if the engines are G.E. or Pratt whittney

  • 54 people wish they were on this flight...

  • @samthelittleman1 NO, they missed the flight.

  • that was a LONG ASS TALK by AA air hostess personnel

  • yeah you are right very good video and your comments about flight detailed its a good story ,,,

  • would have been great to see the completion of your trip with a shot of the landing at LHR...why did you end it so early? Great vid though...love the sound.

  • @bdkrma911

My camera only goes 10 minutes at a time and the rest was boring anyway...

  • why do you dis the A380?? That is a fantastic airplane, just... BIG. While the jet engines sound good on this trip they are no match for the old Lockheed L1011 Rolls-Royce engine sound. If you never rode on one of those jets you missed out!

  • Great video, thanks for posting! And I have a POS computer with no RAM and the keyboard sticks, but the video was perfect for me ;)

  • Great video, thanks for posting! And I have a POS computer with no RAM and the keyboard sticks, but the video was perfect for me ;)

  • beautiful sound, the most powerful and serious engine, no doubt.

  • What is it about the Trents? To me, they're noisier than hell and sound like they are ready to blow.

  • i've always been fascinated with planes. actually i just spent 5 minutes looking for a youtube video of a plane taking off. oh dear me.....

  • I love the way you took the shot of the wing cutting through the sunlight at 6:23. Great video.

  • @Saunanut1

I am glad you caught that! It was a nice tough, albeit accidental!

It was bloody hot in that window, believe it or not. I was also seeing spots as it was so bright as well as the reflection off of the wings.

  • The 777 has such a slow rotation at takeoff, but it depends on runway length, weight, weather .etc.

  • @MrFly757

Not everyone can be a 747SP!

  • The 777 has such a slow rotation at takeoff, but it depends on runway length, weight, weather .etc.

  • ive never flown on one but the wings must be pretty far up on the plane... or the engines come out really far... you were pretty close

  • look at the view 7: 59

  • awesome sound... Thumbs up!

  • where they go?

  • where they go?

  • I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY SOME PEOPLE'S STUPID COMMENTS HAVE TO RUIN A PERFECTLY RECORDED TAKE-OFF THAT SURPRISINGLY SEEMED PRETTY SMOOTH, CONSIDERING THE SOUND OF THOSE TRENTS BEING PUSHED CLOSE TO 90 % I BET THE PLANE WAS LOADED TO THE MAX ...BURNING SEVERAL GALLONS OF FUEL BY THE SECOND!!!

  • very nice

  • @RandomHuman1000

I approved your comment. Are you happy? On that note, have you ever even flown on a plane?

  • @RandomHuman1000

Random Human - if you post anything worth while that gets ~400,000 views, you too would mandate approval for comments to filter out the dumbass ones like this.

I looked at your channel and you have ZERO. Go and create something before you act like a too-cool-for-school keyboard-gangster Youtube junkie and pick on others. Reply to me personally if you have something to say back. That is not restricted, thus I await your dumbass reply.

  • I'm sorry, but I'd prefer to fly on the quieter, more fuel efficient A380 with Qantas' any day..The 777-200ER is noisy and uncomfortable..

  • @rhettski999

Go ahead. Be my guest. It is a free world and you can fly on a plane that recives its heavy maintenance in China any day. You wont catch me anywhere near it (nor any AUSTRALIAN mechanic). Bon voyage....and Godspeed (you will need it).

  • @onecunningfox In fact the A380 can only have its heavy maintenance conducted in Germany. How does it feel that the Europeans now have the most desired, technologically advanced airliner now? How does it feel that Australian mechanics and pilots are by far the best in the world going on safety? It seems as though your brain size is inversely proportional to the garbage you write.

  • @jpilot101

You are quite the dummy yourself. Inversely means the opposite, reversed in position, order, direction, or tendency. So according to you, I am extremely clever; which I might add is spot on. Thanks.

By the way - I have written a lot about the Aussie mechanics having their jobs outsourced to China (for heavy maintenance) and I feel bad for them and QF passengers. You dont know it, but we are on the same page - as your brain is inversely positioned when compared to mine.

  • @jpilot101 Calling it the "most desired" is really a stretch, especially given the insane amount of orders for other aircraft (787). And calling the Australian mechanics the best? Just look at the amount of incidents Qantas had recently buddy.

  • very nice Please subscrime !

  • I love this fantastic sound when the engines in full trust

  • Los Santos is pretty big up here

  • OMG, when I flew the engine sounds made me crazy!!!Thing is louder then my grandmother on the toilet!!

  • @christianharris936

If you were not exaggerating, you would know that the engines on most passenger planes (old and new, Boeing or AirBUST) are very quiet when cruising. Do come along, really.

  • @onecunningfox LOLzz I flew on a flight once on a B777, and that things was loud, even in the front of the plane I heard it. Maybe it was because of turbulence or something....

  • Lovely engine sounds :D

  • ohh, taking off softly.

  • GO 777! :)

  • Smooth! Great sound from the Trents.

  • does this vid run smooth on your pc cause it sticks on mine

  • @mdmarkdaniel46

Very smooth. Perhaps if you stop looking at porn (for 30 minutes), clean out your computer and get faster internet, it will run smoothly for you too.

  • @onecunningfox LOL... haha

  • @onecunningfox hey thanks for that tip. im on the road to 1080p

  • @mdmarkdaniel46 Nah you're right. It's choppy. Framerate is low w/ this video. Other videos run well even at 1080p w/ my computer.

  • @angelfuree

If you are counting framerates and not making movies in Hollywood, you have too much time on your hands.

  • @mdmarkdaniel46

There's nothing wrong with your pc, this video sticks a little on my PC too.

I got 4GB or RAM and a 3.2 GHz i3 processor, so it is the video's fault.

I think that this video is running on about 20 FPS.

  • @CustomSS1

My computer has 2.20GHz and 4.0GB RAM Intel Core2 DUO processor (I have no idea what this all means) and has NO problems running this video.

Granted it is a bit grainy and maybe not the best film ever made, but it is a lot better than most and much better than those who offer none. I am not a professional and only offer these for the enjoyment of everyone. No one has to like it. So if you dont, dont watch it or tell your mate to make their own. Better yet, send me an HD camera!

  • @onecunningfox

To be honest, this video is one of the best ones on youtube (when it come to the 777 engine sound).

No HD is required, just the good sound. :)

  • nothing can beat the sound of ge90-115b's. trents sound like my fridge!

  • @GOapeshit14 you got that right lol funny to lol :)

  • those are some impressive views, i love AA and i really love the 777 but sorry i just love the awesome power of the GE-90, RR Engines has to take seond place for me lol

  • My god that airport massive!

Hey are you sure you were on a 777? That take of was fast furious. I can still see half the airport after you became airborn. And that turn around...you must of been 15,000ft when you did fly over. I know you are going to say of course it was tripple seven.LOL I just expected it to struggle due to its massive size.

    Thanks for posting.

  • @Tampa0123456789

The 777 never struggles - not even the first one back in 1996(?) that United few with P&W engines. It was designed from inception to be the strongest and safest (and still is to this day in my opinion). It holds the longest flight record (HKIA to LHR - the long way) and flew on one engine for 6 hours (a record with PAX on board) over the Pacific as it returned to HNL with engine and a full load (note, the issue was not related to the airplane) It was a United flight..

  • in my taste thats the nicest airliner, the boeing 777, from the best airplane builders in the world.

  • 1:35 i love that sound

  • Great takeoff, I love that engine :)

  • I have never heard a sound more reassuring than that a jet engine when it revs to full throttle a few seconds just before a take off. I literally get a hard on whenever I imagine the power behind that sound.

  • @mygoose

You need to get off of your computer and outside more. Put the Ninetendo and remote down, go outside and breathe in some fresh air. Maybe find a girlfriend at the same time. Good luck and let me know how that goes...

  • @mygoose

I appreciate teh kind post, but YOU need to get off of your computer and outside more often. Put the Ninetendo and remote down, go outside and breathe in some fresh air. Maybe find a girlfriend at the same time. Good luck and let me know how that goes...

  • i love the 777 but give me the GE-90 any day over trent lol nice video tho

  • 2:54 lovely sound....

  • This is why I never want to fly on an Airbus. 777 FTW!!!

  • @TheTriamigos Airbus is safer.

  • is it a 777 200 or 300

  • Hey, you kept the camera very still during take off.. what is your secret?

  • @SteU4IA

Its all in the abs man, all in the abs. Try doing some sit ups and less time on the computer!

    Godspeed. - Fox.

  • @onecunningfox hey nice

  • Nice video, but does that flight attendant (on the PA system) every shut up? After about one minute in the same language I would be hitting my head against the wall and grabbing for the earplugs! ha ha!

  • GE90-115b>GE90-94b>GECF6>PW4000>TRENT

  • Got to say, I will watch any of these vids, as long as I don't have to ride on an Air France Jet. they do not take good care of those beasts of the skies well enough. I've heard more about their crashes than any other airlines.

  • Nice video though, I like the 777.

  • If it's not a Boeing I ain't going!

  • nice flight and beautiful sounds! i love to hear the engines spool...

  • EXCELLENT video, thanks for sharing.... probably the only time I'll ever get to fly First Class!!!

  • what happened to all electronic devices must be turned off and stored in the overhead safety bins?

  • MASSIVE POWER

  • What percent of thrust power is used when the plane has completed take off and is in mid-journey at cruising altitude?

  • Interesting venting action at the bottom of the engine during the first 20 seconds or so of the vid . Must be AC pack or bleed/combustion related.

  • nice.

  • A pretty light 777-200 :)

  • Oh man, that sonic boom at 1:44 gives me shivers every time.

  • what is that bad buzz in the sound, that starts at about 2::25?? Did you sit the camera up against the window to pick up vibration? i don`t believe thats an engine sound.

  • If the destination is LHR, what is the exact flight path? Will it go over the northernmost part of Canada or over the US/Canada border? How long is a flight like this usually? I've never gone this route. The record for me is 13(!) hours from LAX to Japan! The airline was Delta so I can't remember what the plane was but I know they didn't have 747s in their fleet so it couldn't be that kind. I recall it being a triple engine so maybe an MD11?

  • Lovely... Excellent vid

  • very enjoyable - cool stuff.

  • The engines are hugh!

    even bigger than the 747,

does the a380 have the same engines as the b 777?

  • I can see my house at 8:39. Nice video. Thanks for sharing

  • In land wing is straight. Did you notice how the wing starts bending at +/- 2:19 while aerodynamic forces do their effect in take off? cool compare from anytime before and after 2:19

  • @rodstartube

It is called wing flex and actually starts at about 2.02. If the wing did not "bend" as you say, it would be very difficult to take off as the wings would snap off. Search "Boeing 777 Wing Stress Test" in YT and you will see what they can do. Just so you know, the wing "tips" are much higher that the fuselage of the plane during flight! It doesn't seem so, but they are - especially in a 747 for example. They "bend" a lot!

I believe the 777 wings can "bend" more than any other!

  • amazing sound

  • @TheAnneMarsh RR engines sound like classic muscle cars! love that grumble sound.

  • Amazing, almost does not seem natural that something so massive can fly, let alone take off. NIce video

  • Love the low pressure vapor cloud that forms as the engine spools up. My only favorite thing about flying out of or into LAX is the scenery on a clear day.

  • At 5:00 you can see the left turnout towards the East! Very nice!

  • How come at 2:54 she starts growling ? Throttle adjustment from "Take off" RPM to Cruise speed ? Denser air at lower alt. ?

  • @justanotherengine I don't know, it's unusual. It sounds like it's running as smoothly as Obama's presidency.

  • could they make modern aircraft have better gliding ability

  • Best seat in the house!

  • Wahoo... Wing flex! 2:20

  • i love to fly

  • It sounds like your standing outside on the wing of the plane.

  • 3:00 so Badass

  • Your videos are the best... Keep up the great work!!!! Please film an A330-300 if you get the chance.. I have yet to see an A330 take vid. of this quality.

  • Your videos are the best... Keep up the great work!!!!

  • Trent's? no wonder it sucked... GE90115 B that's the sound... Way better than the Trents. The GE's have a way more electric hum Not to mention way more power....

  • @FSEVENMAN

The GE90-115B is a totally diffiernet engine for different payloads and distance - and is the MOST powerful in the world. GE also makes many "smaller" engines for the 777. They have a whole range starting at -76B going to -115B. I hope you know what these codes mean - because I aint telling you. That said, buy, build, be American - but the RR Trent is pretty damn good - good enough to be the 787 launch engine....so there you have it. P&W was the 777 & 747 launch engine, so be fair.

  • @onecunningfox 787's have the new Trent-1000's :)

  • @onecunningfox Did you know that despite popular belief, the GE90-115B wasn't the first turbofan to produce more than 100,000lbs of thrust. It was actually the RR Trent 8104 and this was intended to be the other option for 777-300ER customers but unfortunately for RR, GE paid Boeing to make them the only ones powering the plane. The 8104 was also the first turbofan to produce 110,000lbs. I hate it when people go on as if GE are the only company capable of making such engines.

  • @onecunningfox

    what is your profession?

you don't speak like an ordinary "fan"

  • @vkoracx

I cant give all my secrets away now...

    Godspeed - Fox.

  • @FSEVENMAN GE's give you a lower MTOW and have a much lower density ceiling. More economical for some applications though.

  • I love how you can watch the wing flex as the plane takes off!

  • @tbarnes131

No - far from retired. Do you wish to send me money for my retirement? I will gladly accept!

  • you should turn off electronics because it can interfere with the gauges and radars in the cockpits that can mess up the pilots

  • @warriormaster23

I had the captains permission and my camera is a passive device that DOES NOT interfere with the NAV systems or anything else.

  • @warriormaster23

I just get too angry too read such foolish comments! If you don't know how the "gauges" and "radars" work in the cockpits, why do you post his? Hasn't he heard many announcements "turn off blah blah blah"???? Isn't he here, in our world now? Sorry but... no offense!

  • Why do you call Airbus Airbust? They have been kicking Boeing's arse for years now.

  • @FreeRadical1015

Yes and Bentley/Rolls Royce/Aston make the most elegant cars in the world - yet Mercedes kicks their ass too. I dont have teh time or patience to go through it with you, but if it aint a Boeing, I aint going.

  • @onecunningfox Fair enough. If you want to fly on inferior aircraft that's your choice.

  • @FreeRadical1015

Nope-not true. I do have the time and patience to go through this-777>A330/A340/A350 and that's a big milestone. Sales are better, it's faster, quieter (the opposite story is a myth), it's bigger (yes-bigger than the A350-1000 and wider)... in fact, the only Airbus that was made and ever will be made and was wider than the 777 was the A380. 777 has never had a fatality and only one hull-loss, and has the longest range of any plane.

    Any objections???

  • @EmadIV thats why i love the 777 and even better the GE-90 engines lol greetings from the Eastern Caribbean

  • @EmadIV 777 all day every day :)

  • @FreeRadical1015 I agree with that. Airbuses are much safer, comfortable, reliable, clean, fast, economic, and very silent airplanes compared to Boeing airplanes. And when it comes to technologies applied to Airbuses it is just impossible to compare. Airbus is far ahead of Boeing in many levels. Maybe it's jealousy... Who knows :-).

  • @FreeRadical1015

Because their planes are awful, cheap and flimsy. There are 707's and 747's still flying today taht are older than AirBUST is as a company. It is just like going to WalMart - you can buy 8 pairs of dress shoes at WalMart for 300 dollars (because its all made in China - like some A320's - and they will last you about a month). Or you could buy a pair of US (or English) made shoes for 400 dollars and they will last you for half a lifetime. If it aint a Boeing, I aint going...

  • @onecunningfox Excellent point!

  • @onecunningfox Dude, I know you have your preferences, but Airbus does make good planes. The A340 and the A330 are amazing aircraft. Moreover, look at all the research and development that when into the A380; they basically had to develop new techniques and materials to make that project happen, not to mention the fact that the interiors are beyond luxurious. Boeing is good as well, but they haven't really produced anything truly amazing since the 767 in the 90s... just waiting for the 787

  • @28stads

Yes, you are correct - that terrible plane called 777 was an absolute bust. It only put the A340 out of business....I digress. The A330 is a very good aircraft - the A340 is not. The A300 was perhaps the best to come out of Toulouse (but for the rudders).

  • @28stads you mean the 777 which is the best jetliner in the world was the boeing product starting in the 90s, the 767 was from the 80s. A380 is a technical wonder, but the huge R&D investment may never be recouped because the market for superjumbos seems to be too small, only 236 orders, breakeven is 420.

  • @onecunningfox Wait. Airbus is not exactly cheap as you think. Looked up on the list prices of two of the most directly comparable families (in terms of passenger capacity and MTOW), the 737NG and A320, here's what I got. (prices are in millions USD)

    -600/a318 = 56.9/65.2; -700/a319 = 67.9/77.7; -800/a320 = 80.8/85.0; -900ER/a321 = 85.8/99.7

Since its introduction in '97, 5,821 737NGs were sold. Since '98, airbus sold 6,937 a320s. Higher price yet better sales, a sign of better quality.

  • @busybillyb33

No one pays list price - ever. Thanks for the numbers, but they are totally useless. See the latest from the WTO and AirBUST subsidies. (In all fairness, Boeing receives some subsides too, but not in the form of free loans.)

  • @onecunningfox Yeah Airbus receives them but so does Boeing like u said, so it doesnt matter. Also lets not forget huge amount of military planes that Boeing can easily sell to US government as they always buy american military planes even if european would be better.

  • @Pvjinflight

Come again? It is teh US goverment that allowed open bidding for the Tanker contract and AirBUST lost. It is FRance that FORBIDS their military from purchasing ANY defense weapons or planes from a foreign manufacturer. So what the hell are you on about? That said, the US government should buy all American anyway (and the same applies to every country in my opinion). Why should they buy French or German? One we liberated, one we crushed in WWII. Go cry in a hole or move to France.

  • @onecunningfox Blah they just say that they allow Airbus to compete with american manufacturers, but they always choose american no matter how good the other one is.

You are stupid ignorant fat yank, France is great country unlike USA. So you little redneck stay in your pathetic country full of dumb people.

  • @Pvjinflight

Sure thing. I will make sure when you wave the white flag again we Americans dont come and save your ass not once (WWI) but twice (WWII). You silly frog - go boil yourself in a pot of water with Sarkozy. Bonne soir and adieu, morpion.

  • @onecunningfox Thats fine to me. In WWI you did not help my country at all, and in WWII nazis helped us to keep our independence against your dear ally Stalin.

  • @Pvjinflight

On this topic, you are out of your mind....The US being involved in WWI and WWII, wherether or not, or how late the USA participated; make no difference. Ask any reasonable person and they will tell you that the USA being involved was a game changer. You know (ungrateful man) when De Gaulle wanted to withdraw from NATO - he was asked if that included the dead, buried Americans in France; he shut his frog mouth and put up his white flag. Je desole, qui vous etes sans éducation...

  • @onecunningfox i think we made the right choice in choosing the Boeing tanker. we went with what works...the kc135 is 50+ years old, and still kicking like its 1957. im sure the KC46A will live up to its grandpas name hahaha, ps im a mechanic (flt controls + landing gear) on the KC135, i flew on it for the 1st time a month ago and it was probly the smoothest flight i ever been on, i also got to sit in flight deck for take off it was a pretty rad.

  • @YanYan1337

Thank you, Thnak you, Thank you. Godspeed - Fox.

  • @busybillyb33 exactly!!! that is why they were the leader for the 90s.

  • @onecunningfox Lol Airbus is much more advanced than Boeing. I'm myself a Airbus fan but I really like Boeing to. Boeing is not a bad company but neither is Airbus. I really love the 757 but no it's so old and many companies is storing them and Boeing doesn't do anything to renew this so popular aircraft like making an 757NG. Boeing have to many old aircrafts on the market and Airbus is just expanding more and more with their new projects. Airbus thinks of the future....
