Not sure, cause the Fireball's Overdrive channel is much more aggressive sounding. I'd say try it out if possible. The cleans on all ENGL's are pretty darned good, but only with the right pickups. My EMGs clean don't sound clean on my ENGL, which is why I got them DiMarzios.
