  • i have nothing to say but W.O.W....!!!

  • I remember being shocked

  • I really, really wish I knew the context of this scene.

  • @qwertyuiop298 I would check out her 9 episodes of In Treatment... You can watch them without watching the other episodes. Her performance is incredible.

  • :O WOW

  • Australian actor? Isn't this an actress?

  • Mia shoud have an emmy for "In Treatment", but wasn't even nominated.

  • Mia will win an oscar before her thirtyith birthday

  • Mia, Emma Watson, and Hailee Steinfeld are the bright future of acting. Can't wait to see their future success.

  • she was, by far, the best actor on this show, all 3 seasons.

  • Lmao I love that! LOOK AT ME, YOU SHIT!

  • I luv alice in wonderland, she did such a good job

  • lol

  • Show some tits gal

  • I know she was born in aussieland bur she totaly polski

  • @theAshleygirl12 She was originally Mia Reid. Her father is Australian and she was born in Canberra, which is the capital of Australia. Her mother was Polish, but she has been in Australia for nearly 40 years.

She decided to use her mothers last name when she started her film career in Australia, because she thought her birth name was a bit dull.

  • @whipthedog How do you know that? Given that her sister is Jess Wasikowska and her brother is Kai Wasikowski (with an i since he's male), I would bet that Mia's parents gave her the surname Wasikowska at birth.

  • @fspatin Never mind WTD, he's so full of hot air over this subject.

  • Ohhh my goshh:) she's amazing and soo talented:)

  • Everyone raves about this scene... I don't think its that great...

  • @newmanator17 Actually, in that scene (0:230:45) she's showing Paul her flat chest, the side effect of her years of gymnastics training.

  • @mattador2792

    No, I don't.

You don't go to the doctress when you're sick, do you? "Other"-ising a profession (that is, describing it as different from the standard or male form) diminishes its importance. Distinction by gender is inherently sexist.

  • @aleatory6 Sorry if im "sexist" but to me a female actor is an actress, I feel like im insulting an actress by calling her an actor because I feel like im calling her a dude. I don't think it diminishes importance at all.

  • @mattador2792

I agree with you, I'm a guy and I hate when people do that

    Women deserve more justice

  • @mattador2792 Actress has always pissed me off. There is no writeress, produceress, directoress, gripess, best boyess.....

  • @Jammsbro1 Sorry if it pisses you off, but honestly I don't really care. I prefer call a female actor an actress. Like I said before, I feel like I am insulting an actress by calling her an actor because I feel like I am calling her a dude.

  • she's australian and she is amazing :) i love her and she is so much more talented then some of those crummy american teen actors and singers (aka justin beiber!) that we see today!

  • @domosthereo13 justin beiber is canadian son

  • @domosthereo13 I totally agree! She was perfect!

  • @domosthereo13

    Bieber Canadia

    America has fine young actors

    I'm from New Zealand

    And she is wonderful

  • Such a brilliant actress. :)

  • she's not Australian...she is Polish

  • @LadyDirtyRapsberry uh nup she is australian :)

  • @domosthereo13 Her mother is Polish,so youre both right

  • @poisonrosening ok good aha. :)

  • What's wrong with here physically in this scene?

  • @DragonHeart06 she has just got a rash. that is it.

  • danggg shes GOOD!

  • I think I'm the one shocked here,

of her freaking good acting! :D

  • she looks like claire danes (romeo and juliet) so much here!

  • MIA ROCKS!

  • actOR????????????

  • It's becoming more and more common to use 'actor' for both sexes. Some people feel the word "actress" is sexist.

  • maybe we should just ban use of the words "she" and "her" too.

  • she is the probably CUTEST human ever ! loveeeeeee yaaa

  • spphie stole the show

  • she's so amazing!!! i love this girl!

  • you and me both arodin poor thing

  • Huh, I'm sorry I don't know the series, but what exactly is going on in this scene?

  • its a series of therapy sessions. mon-fri and it follow 5 different people for 9 weeks. its really fascinating if you have any interest in amazing acting or in psychology. i watched it on netflix a few months ago and sophies episodes were always the best.

  • Wow I can't wait to see her as Alice. Oh by the way - Burton's film is set in the future when Alice is 17 - so that's why he chose an older actor.

  • 19, actually.

  • @stormcloud847 I know - sorry, I sent this message a while ago if you noticed, before official info came out

  • okay sorry :D

  • @stormcloud847 it's okay ;)

  • she was really good in defiance

  • i fall in love of her in the movie "defiance" her actutation was so good.... oh! she is so beautifull :D

  • since I saw her playing as sophie on in treatment I´ve become her number 1 fan.I love the way she made me cry,I´ve never felt like this before watching a show.good luck,Mia,way to go!

  • No wonder Burton chose her... she's really perfect for such a role.

I'm sure we Burton Fans won't be disappointed... We never were

  • @catburglar82

I love every film Tim has made, my favourite director who defined my childhood

I even love Planet Of The Apes (not joking)

Alice in wonderland was soooooo underrated, but I think their are people out their that loved it as much as me

  • @ilovepanslabyrinth Yeah i thaught it was even better than i expected. I love how he always takes something cute and turns it into something weird. ^^ I only wish the Cheshire Cat would have gotten more screentime.

I'm still not sure about Planet of the Apes though. Not a bad movie, certainly not, but a little... well...not as good as his other movies.

  • @ilovepanslabyrinth I absolutely loved AW and saw it multiple times in the theater, mainly because I was immediately sucked in by Mia's performance. The amount of backlash that's been directed at this movie is just insane.

  • She is soooooooooooooo good, she's the perfect Alice!!!!!!!! I can't wait for Tim Burton's Sequel. I read the script, and it's very good, there is a love story with one character from Wonderland, in this story "Underland", but I did'nt want say any spoilers....^^ She's sooo cute and just love her passion for acting!!!!

    Disney+Tim Burton+Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland+ Mia Wasikowska= A whole cinema masterpiece!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Definitely like a young Claire Danes here.

  • Yeah, that's what I've been saying. I'd say they were related if one wasn't born in Australia and the other in America. But yeah, very My So-Called Life here.

  • Absolutely! :o She reminds me so much of her!

  • @nessaroxhard

But better. lol I like Claire Danes, but sometimes she comes off so damn stiff. She doesn't come off as convincing. She was good on "My So Called Life" and in "Romeo & Juliet," but a lot of other stuff, not so much.

  • Am I the only one who sees a slight resemblence bewtween Mia Wasikowska and a young Jennifer Jason Leigh? I think it's around the eyes and mouth. Kind of they way they talk. Does anyone else see it?

  • Her mum is my sisters godmother :)

were family friends, she was actually over at my house the other week for a BBQ playing halo on the X-box with me lol.

I knew she would become an actress as she was in a couple of small movies and TV shows but gosh I didn't expect to see her acting with Johnny Depp and Daniel Graig. big shock to everyone!

  • went to high school with her! We are so proud of her!

  • Bout time something good came out of Canberra!

  • As a young actor, I would love to work with her someday. She's has a great mix of talent and beauty. I love the intensity here.

  • Sophie was the best caracter of the show! SHE WAS FUCKING AWESOME !

  • I just saw that episode of Treatment in finnish tv. She is brilliant! So young and so talented. I think she sometimes looks like Geena Rowlands... For sure I´m going to see her in movies, Alice and others!

  • Whoaa...I just got flashbacks of a young Claire Danes circa 1994 in My So-Called Life.

  • i'm so pumped for alice in wonderland. stephen fry for cheshire cat? yes! helena b carter for the queen? it's like all my fav actors have decided to make my dream come true.

  • The next Cate Blanchett/Claire Danes! Australia has some of the best talent!

  • @IAmTheLittleSparrow no need to b Australian Need To B her, she's the talented, she's the graced

  • @IAmTheLittleSparrow Agree with Blanchett but Danes?! She's waaaaaaaaay superior than her!

  • she's fantastic !

@ arained: it's a tv serial called "In Treatment" .

@ mmnessa: Burton will change so many things in from the original story that the age of this actress will be the smallest detail, trust me. she fits perfectly the role.

  • what's the name of the film?

  • It's a television series called 'In Treatment'

  • I still think she's too old for the part. Burton should have stuck to the classical little girl Alice actually is...and not her.

  • it wouldn't be Burton If the lead was a little girl

  • Now that I have some idea of her acting, I think she will at least do Alice justice. I hope she does well, because if she doesn't it will just totally kill the movie for me, reguardless of my Johhny and Hellie.

  • Wooooooooooooooooow. What an actress. Holy Shit.

  • can anyone message me about any pic from the Alice film i think they've stared filmin it(like on set with Mia or something) i heard about it a long time ago and can't wait i love Tim Burtons films have not seen a movie of his that i hate his movies are so different then any others Alice in the book was 7 years old so it will be different to the book but i think it will still be gr8 lots of others tim could've chose for it mia must be gr8 to get it i h8 over rated stars like Dakota fanning

  • i saw her 2day they were filming alice in wonderland in charlestown shes an amazing actress!!

  • shes so cute!

  • shes playing alice in Alice in Wonderland

  • She reminds of a young claire danes. wonderful talent

  • she's freaking incredible... has blown my mind throughout the entire series. she seriously deserves an emmy. no question. i hope she'll be in season 2.

  • she got anyone's dreamrole: alice in tim burton's alicce in wonderland.

in my opinion, that's better than an emmy!

  • Tim Burton casted a great girl for Alice, she will be awesome, and definetely with make up and special custome she could look like a teen or even better a pre teen

  • She's a really good actress

I heard that Tim Burton chose her to play as Alice in his Alice in Wonderland.

  • thats right she will be Alice

  • I love it, that Mia girl is so fantastic!!

I hope I can be as good an actresss as that one day.

    shes brilliant

    <3<3

  • wasn't that guy the devil in End of Days?
