  • LOL HIS LAUGH AT 0:53!!!!!!

  • @H2drO34 Are you one of those assholes?

  • the 5th grade teacher does not know the answer to that question, that is like PROOF that these are NOT 5th grade questions =.=

  • Holy Cow!!!! I didn't read the Feralist Papers until college!!!!!!! Oh my goodness!!!! :)

  • @H2drO34 at least he can spell homosexual.

  • @tazzie0123 That was original.

  • im not american but i think it was some guy called alexander hamilton

  • lmao! "But I know when to take the money and run" XD

  • He's pretty clever. Gotta love this guy! <3

  • and he's a teacher too hahaa I love you clay!

  • I know nothing about Clay Aiken, and his music is probably ghastly. But the host was right- he is a quality human being, and seems absolutely lovely

  • I love him. He's hilarious. and he's really sweet.

  • I learned that in 8th Grade History. Not 5th grade. I only knew that because I did advanced stuff.

  • Why he too afraid to answered the questions.. It's just a game~

  • its alright Clay :) u still rock

  • very smart and thinks well , knows he stuff well

  • I just love the way he laughs at 2:37

And he actually is smart. Who remembers all these things???

  • But he did got it right, so he is atleast as smart as a 5th grader...

  • i dont get it. He had a save. So even if he was wronge.. he would have still had 500 thousand... WHAT A DUMB DUDE!!

  • Save only works if nathan had it right, and clay didn't seem to go with nathan.

  • @paigelz04 Well the other guy thought Mark Twain was a british author in the 19th century who wrote "A Christmas Carol"

  • haha Clay sounded rly cute when he said "the mark twain thing kinda freaked me out!"

  • @Sanjayas1andonly you are so lame

  • Why did they change it from 10 year old to 5th grader but continue to use a theme song that says 'are you smarter than a 10 year old?'

  • @huweybaby lies

  • is this guy an idiot or something? he had two of those help things.. jesus

  • Why is nathan like on every episode?

  • doesn't really matter. all the kids are actors, anyway

  • he should have trust nathan... he's the smartest in that batch!! dunno what happen to the "mark twain" thing though!! he's playful so im guessing he did that on purpose lol... =)

  • there was a question about literature and nathan got it wrong!

  • lol ive been watching the whole entire show lol and why was there japanese subtitles lol

  • they call nathan what? the closer?

  • yep the closer

  • i love nathan...he soooo cute!!!

    love him!!

  • i agree

  • I don't remember learning about the Federalist Papers in 5th grad at all.

  • I learned this in History class. The answer to this question is President James Madison.

  • @UnbiasedWoods hell, I dont remember learning about federalist papers ever.

  • this kid nathan is damn good , i foolow him , no mistke! great job kid , god bless you1

  • 0:56 whats that retarded voice ? lol

  • that's Clay laughing!!

  • lol....

  • Alright, who the fuck was the weaboo that put Japanese subtitles on this?

  • "I'm Clay Aiken and I may not be smarter than a fifth-grader, but I know when to take the money and run." ROFL!! I have to say, this is the funnest thing I've seen ever!!

  • Poor Nathan...

  • i know!!! if only he had belived in the kid, he would've won. Going with his gut had been working for him through the whole thing!!! Just proves the saying, 'If its not broken dont fix it''

  • wow,he's so smart! he knows all the answers. He's not only an entertaining celebrity but a human capital of the country!

  • Lol yeah... super smart adult to know the answers to 5th grade questions ^^

  • I do love Clay.. But, be honest.. questins were incredibly easy... It was really boring episode...

  • why did he not copy? lol!!

  • John Adams became pres. in 1797, you dumb-ass!

  • There's John Adams and John Quincy Adams

  • Who cares? Would you listen to the damn video again??? 1:53, come on. Check before you answer something completely different!!!

  • oh yes you are right. I just looked at the chart of the presidents and I was surprised to see washington didnt take office until 1789.

  • That's what i was saying...And I'm not even American.

  • im not much of a clay fan, my sister is, but i love him in this!!! From my sister, I am becoming a fan just as much as she is!

  • ITS JAMES MADISON!!!! Im right in the middle of watching.

  • He started way manlier :/

  • So who cares? Are you homophobic?

  • Good job. I didn't realized that Adams didn't write any of the papers. For some reason I always see him as a federalist for some reason. (maybe he is, just but active enough to write papers) But Madison is blatantly missing from the list. So I am in the same boat as him, completely understand his choice. BTW, I didn't realizes that presidents under the articles of Confederation don't count as US presidents.

  • <3<3 I LOVE YOU CLAY!!

  • Clay is such a cutie, and he's so humble too. I love that was playing for the kids, and didn't care if he wasn't the first to reach a million. This whole episode was so entertaining, I love him! xD

  • omg he's funny he's smart he has a great voice i <3 clayyYY!

  • i wonder what is the million dollar question.

  • Oh man, he should have use his copy and save.

  • hes a teacher.. he cant do that. just imagine the kind of message hes gonna send to the kids if he did copy. :)

  • Lol, haha, you're so funny!!

  • i like this guy!! he is happy go lucky!!

  • I loved this episode the host and Clay are awesome people!

  • i love how he is playing for the kids and not for being the first person to win a million.

    i love this man...

  • I love how Jeff said he's a quality human being. 'Coz it's so true.

  • "I believe in Nathan but the 'Mark Twain' thing kinda freaked me out!"

its such a teacher humor :p Hes so entertaining!

  • He's really good! He's great! What a sweet person ^^a I love him!!!

  • Clay has a great and funny personality!

  • I knew it was madison...

  • he's actually a smart person...

and a really nice person too

  • Clay is a teacher, of course he knows the answers.

  • he's such a sweetheart

  • that was great, Clay!

  • wow...clay actually knew all the answers himself! wow! and he was right about madison! and spain!

  • Spain was obvious but i was suprise he knew Madison. I had trouble with that one

  • wow..hes really giving me a heart attack, but he did really great job over all!

  • Clay, so happy u won 300,000 for your charity, I have a handicapp son, mental and phycially handicapp, wished they had some of those programs around here, and another thing, my son loves your singing, when u are done, he claps his hands and says yayyyyyyy.....so u put a smile on his face, ty

  • yaa clay, you may not be smarter than a 5th grader, but i still love you!

  • haha! "I'm Clay Aiken and I may not be smarter than a fifth-grader, but I know when to take the money and run."

  • i have to say, this is the funnest one i've seen

  • he didnt use save and copy because.. its such a hard question he didn't want to risk it or trust the kid.

  • Good job Clay! but why did he drop out? I thought he still had a save and copy...??

  • Good job Clay! but why did he drop out? I thought he still had a save and copy...??

  • 300k GOOD JOB CLAY :D

  • Damn,Clay was so close!

  • geez, his teeth are PRETTY!

  • there is the third time that person drop out with the correct answer in mind

  • Yeah, people tend to not want to risk it. And the last time I saw, it was also the US History question as well. Sure is tough.

  • I didn't even know that last question and I'm in College. For some reason I wanted to say Hamilton, boy would I have been wrong lol.

  • I didn't know that...

But my excuse is I'm Norwegian :p

We don't learn US history in 5th grade, we learn Norwegian history in 5th grade.. And I still know most of the US presidents...

I think he did very good tho :p

  • Actually, these aren't really fifth grade questions... these questions aren't fit into any of the grades. In fifth grade, they only just teach you the American Revolution...

Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader just doesn't want to lose money. Seriously. The school curriculum doesn't work like that.

    Poor Clay!

  • Man Clay!!! Its like AI2 he was a runner up.

  • I'm in 11th grade right now in the U.S. and I just learned that last year as a sophomore in High School.

  • lolz, i no rite...how can that be a 5th grade questions?

  • he like can't breath! he's sooooo nervous! and i didn't know he talked like a hilbilly!

  • He looks like he put on a teeny bit of weight

  • he could've won the millions dollars!!! o.O

  • actually he would've won half a million because there is still the million dollar question after that last one.

  • yeah, but If and only If he still continue to play, then there's a possibility that he might won the millions dollars. XD

  • lol yeah, in that you're right.

  • the problem is that some of us would have learned that in grade 5 while some learn it in grade 10. Reason being, Americas education system isn't evenly distributed to all social classes so i hope people see the dilemma in these posts. of course this is an opinion so I hope no one comes back to bite my head off. :)

  • I learned that in 4th grade...

  • these fifth graders probably knew all the answers before the show ans i definately did not learn that in 5th grade. i learnded that in my college preparatory american studies class in 10th grade.

  • i learned that in 5th grade or 4th grade, of course i grew up in Mexico and education there is higher than in USA, and probably my english sucks but i will win if i were to that show....

  • Mexico? higher education than U.S.? You gotta be kidding me.

  • mmmm.....I am not kidding, I know what I am talking about....I was in 10th grade when i moved to the US, and I am going to college right now, so I can freely compare the education of both countries and you can't. Mexico is a country that fails in so many things that I dont even want to get into that, but the MEXICAN EDUCATION IS HIGHER than here in the USA. Of course this country helps you to get good jobs and good money. I cant discuss that. But I was in 10th grade in Mex when I took Calculus I

  • Aren't the kids in this vid American?

  • Yes. Why?

And this was a great episode!! I'm not a Clay Aiken fan, but he was really fun and entertaining on here!! :)

  • I don't think I ever learned that.

  • Uh... fifth graders learn U.S. History too... so it's conceivable that a fifth grader would know the answer

  • 5th grade? I learned that this year in 10th grade

  • clay i think ur are more smarter than the fifth graders <3

  • I so wouldn't have known that in 5th grade. I learned that in like high school. What the heck?! haha. Poor Clay. I'm still proud of him though. <3 And Nathan is so cute. haha. I thought he was going to cry. :( haha. I'm still proud of Clay though. :D

  • yea, I learned that in my junior year of high school he still did pretty good and he did get a lot of money for his organization

  • I probably could have done good on that show. haha. I got the game for Christmas. :) haha. I promise I'm 20! Even if I do act 8. hahaha!

  • aww nathan looked kind of sad when clay said 'mark twain freaked me out'. i'm glad clay knew how to pick his spirits back up after the game. he's a teacher after all ^^ though i wished he did win the 500,000 for the foundation.

  • All the questions on this episode were easy, no-brainers (although it must be a lot harder on stage under all the pressure and what not) UNTIL this one. Considering that it's so much harder on stage I doubt many people would have been able to get it- and he knew it too! although it was wise at that stage to drop out

  • Some of those questions are not 5th grade level.

  • how the hell would a fifth grader know that question, i took ap govt last year and didn't even realize it. but now i have us history so i learned it a few months ago

  • 5th grade?! I didn't know that until I took AP US History!!!

But Clay did so well! Yay Clay!!

  • wow that's tough for 5th grade

it was tough for me and im a senior taking AP government -__-

  • i know its so hard to believe that these 5th graders know everything!!! wow!! i had no clue and im suprised clay got it right!! hes one of a kind.

  • oh jesus slap your teacher for me...

  • hey but nathan knew the answer!!

  • he's too cute. XD

  • Thanks Uraban for posting all 6 parts. Brilliant videos! Keep it up!

  • Clay is so smart...

  • i dont even know the anser to that and im in 10th grade so how the hell is a 5th grader gonna know this!?!?!

  • 5th grade History? I didn't do that until 8th!
