uhh no. Alcide a were. shifters can change into anything, although they usually have one thing they like to be(Sam is a shifter, he likes shifting into a collie because people are less willing to shoot it and are more or less friendly to a stray dog.) . Then there are one who can only change into one form ie. Werewolf, Weretiger and Werepanther. The ones that can change into half human and half beast are made weres.
