this is such bullshit. the international agency for research on cancer declared that long-term cell-phone use could “possibly” cause cancer. it says the same for coffee drinking!!! and nobody's complaining about coffee are they??
if you don't like technology, don't use it and stop getting scared for nothing
Radiation sickness is now so prevalent in Germany that 175 doctors have signed the Bramberger Appeal, a document calling the situation a "medical disaster." It asks the German government to initiate a national public health investigation. This appeal closely follows the Freiburger Appeal, signed by thousands of German doctors who say they are dealing with an epidemic of severe and chronic diseases among both old and young patients exposed to wireless microwave radiation.
Myriad symptoms of radiation poisoning can be induced at exposure levels hundreds, even thousands of times lower than current standards permit. Russia’s public exposure standards are 100 times more stringent than ours because Russian scientists have consistently shown that, at U.S. exposure levels, humans develop pathological changes in heart, kidney, liver and brain tissues, plus cancers of all types
Norbert Hankin, chief of the EPA’s Radiation Protection Division, has stated that the FCC’s exposure guidelines are protective only against effects arising from a thermal (flash burn) mechanism. He concedes that, "the generalization by many, that these guidelines protect human beings from harm by any and all mechanisms, is not justified."
A medical report in the International Journal of Occupational and Environmental Health confirms that workers exposed to high levels of RF/microwave radiation routinely have astronomical cancer rates.
Critics say that FCC appointees, with virtually no medical or public health expertise, represent an old-boy network and a cheering squad for the telecommunications and broadcast industries.
Nothing makes me more furious than people who make sensationalist claims about the dangers of radiation, when they clearly lack a basic understanding of the Physics behind radiation.
Microwaves are NOT ionizing, they do NOT cause cancer.
As for the rumors about the unhealthiness of food cooked in a microwave oven, these are simply myths promulgated by people who don't understand what microwaves are and fear them irrationally. --Louis A. Bloomfield, Professor of Physics, The University of Virginia
there are too many people that are unaware of the potential dangers of cell phones or any wireless, cordless phones. etc. It's serious. I am not letting my sons have cell phones. they are under peer pressure but they don't really need one. it's really upsetting. They don't want one, but they don't like the fact that they are singled out b/c they don't have one. I just got one for the job. I use speaker phone, and I keep it turned off and use it maybe ten minutes a week. I use a pay phone, too.
so you rather let your sons not get exposed to microwaves but would rather let them be exposed to radio, visible light, ultraviolet, x rays when needed, and infrared radiation humans emit? all forms of radiation.
People just don't know what radiation is. radiation is another word of light. for energy transfer. you radiate energy in the form of heat. The heat lamps at rest. radiate food to keep it warm. your body radiates heat...
@Forman6 Would you eat uranium powder , its found in nature it comes out of the ground so it must be good , maybe you already have .Even the phone companies put warnings on their products get an education will you .During the Cold War, the Soviets irradiated the U.S. Embassy in Moscow , Russia , with low level, twin-beam microwave radiation. Two successive ambassadors developed leukemia. Other staffers also developed cancer, or their blood showed DNA damage, which precedes cancer.
The thing that bugs me with the whole cell phone causes cancer thing is that if you look at a country like Japan, who are nuts over cell phones (37% of elementary school students owns a cell phone!!!) DO NOT have a lot of brain cancer. From statistics in 2006, the number 1 cancer in Japan was lungs (smoking) with ~75 per 100,000 while brain cancer (which the cell phone is supposed to cause) was less than 5 per 100,000 people. Therefore, what's the deal?
@sodasoap people fail to understand what radiation is. Radiation is just the transfer or energy. and another word for light.
your warm body emits infrared radiation, you cannot see it buy you can feel it. visible, infrared, micro, and radio waves are hitting your body constantly. You need radiation to live obviously, light from the sun or radiation from the sun. Electromagnetic radiation.
I am not comfortable with cell phone radiation, but
I disagree with your comments about the blue tooth device. Its output power is extremely low in comparison to the power emitted from a cell phone, so its a good way to lower your exposure to radio frequency radiation.

how about we get make it illegal to own make or use any eletronics. everyone would love to go back to 1899 that was a good year right?
plz look up "Ionizing radiation" PS my major has to do with radiation

@tilleyracing
Did the laws of physics change?
radiation is light, don't be stupid or should I draw a picture for you?
I did not say all light is friendly, high frequency (& energy obviously) is not good for homo sapiens.
Like prolonged xrays (like prolonged ultraviolet causes skin cancer) You can't see them of course.
It is light your eyes cannot see.
Get an education?
To know what radiation is harmful look at the electromagnetic spectrum.
Microwave's frequency is smaller than visible light
Forman6 6 months ago
@tilleyracing
And your body emits infrared electromagnetic radation, all the time.
The remote you use uses infrared radiation to turn on your television.
If you see anything, the visible light (a form of electromagnetic radiation) is hitting your eyes.
They are not harmful of course because you stand here.
Microwaves are non-ionizing. Meaning that it change the rotational, vibrational or electronic valence configurations of molecules and atom.
Forman6 6 months ago
@tilleyracing And I found pictures for you.
For anyone who does not know what radiation even is (and I mean you)
and how it works and which ones are dangerous,
there is a dumbed down version in Google.
just Google properties of radiation and click the first one.
princeton (dot) edu one.

MTTPOT, YES!!!!!!!!
Read the book "The invisible dangers of EMF radiation".
If you contact me, I can mail you a copy of the book for $10.
This also explains what we can do to eliminate the harm done and how to use new technology to make our electrical devices safe to use.
