A more fun way to level up pets I find is having a ritualist. and get the pet u want to level, with no points in it doesnt matter if its weak. go farm outside spammadan alone onn HM your pet will lvl up in like 2 runs of that area and you get plenty of goodies :)

I lolled at all the people crying "it doesnt work" - it verry well does. obviousley they just equipped 50%> rezzes wich rez you with 1 instead of 0. - I might add it works better with Fast Casting mesmers though, deffinatley speeds it up. Normal rez + Restore Life (dont buff healing) and it'll push down the time quite a bit.

Look at the rainbow pheonix on the other hand, starts tiny and ends up as the biggest pet in the game, being bigger than a PC.

The only thing you need is resurrect and some random heals that make your heroes able to defend themselves against a single enemy

this no longer works , i finally got a wolf to stay at spawn, sat there for an hour and died over 50 times and it didnt lvl once, u have to move around for them to get exp

Yeah you need to have more health then 1hp and to the guy below. It will get you a dire pet I have a dire lion,dire croc, and dire wolf. You do need more then 1hp though.

This method works and it is the fastest way to level a pet but it WILL NOT evolve the pet to dire. This is because as you're resurrected you die automatically again so the animal is not doing any damage. It will however give you an elder pet very quickly.

For informations, only 3 superior runes are necessary.

Zukumatz102 : it is normal, you are level 10 and not level 20... the pet gains less experience in killing you.

DP = Death Penalty.

And theres no vamparic weapen. Resurrect will res you with 25% of your health. With the runes and DP you only have 1 health, so you will shortly after the res, die 'cause 25% of 1 is... almost zero. Therefore - You die. :D
