  • One of the things that fascinated me as I started learning more about the Tarot and how it is used as a tool of divination was the way in which the allegorical nature of the images on the cards created a kind of symbolic language that I associated with Jungian archetypes before I started reading more about them. The interesting thing is the way the full set of archetypes are a fairly recent development in Tarot evolution by Arthur Waite in the early 20th Century.

  • I see a lot of the tarot people throw around the name Jung and archetypes but they don't get in depth like this. I dabbled in tarot card reading but I never gotten into Carl Jung myself. So I guess I have a better idea of what these people are talking about now.
