I get tired of people dogging on Marty for leaving Megadeth and how he "sold out on metal" to do "Japanese shit." The man is a musician and makes some of the best MUSIC on guitar. I even hear people say he's not all great because he doesn't shred all the time and he's not UBER fast. So what if he isn't playing hard, blazing thrash all the time anymore? He's making music, something I'm sure a lot of us here can't do.

Not really sure what to think of this, the main theme and the riffs that are in the song sound awesome but this sounds way too much like something that you'd hear at a club and there's almost no shredding. I hope this album ends up being like music for speeding with a few odd electronic tracks and a couple tracks more like the stuff on dragon's kiss/loudspeaker.

I can't say I like everything Marty Friedman has done in Japan but this looks pretty good and Tokyo Jukebox had some epic songs, I've never heard a guitar sing quite like that.
Marty is great. GTFO with the comments that this is "too cute omg lolz" because not only tr00 metalz is real music- Besides, Marty has made more than enough material to make even the most metalhead fap to it (Speed Metal Symphony, Dragons Kiss, his stuff at Rust in Peace, Countdown to Extinction, etc) and some really great albums too (Scenes, Introduction and Loudspeaker come to mind). So yeah Marty is still great.

Very disappointing. The last Friedman album I liked was Music For Speeding (and that was pushing it). He's just gone so far in the pop/dance/techno direction that I feel alienated. I find it sad that the person who inspired me to play guitar is not playing a think that I find inspirational anymore.
Im really dissappointed with marty. I wasnt expecting anything heavy or like megadeth or anything, however this video is really bad. The song is average and after watching marty in the video I cant imagine he ever played in megadeth, he looks like someone from motley crue with the lipstick and whatnot. Marty Friedman is an awesome guitarist. This is a killer song, as was his material on Tokyo Jukebox. Glad to see him playing that Jackson Kelly style guitar again. That is what he should always be playing on.

I dont care if he abandoned thrash metal , cause he is still a genious of guitar. Its not easy to make a song like this. People say "bah this is very pop, this is shit..." ok, try to make a song like this with guitar...

Not really sure what to think of this, the main theme and the riffs that are in the song sound awesome but this sounds way too much like something that you'd hear at a club and there's almost no shredding. I hope this album ends up being like music for speeding with a few odd electronic tracks and a couple tracks more like the stuff on dragon's kiss/loudspeaker.

@MEGADETHTHRETH I think Marty have more merits by himself than Megadeth, although he hasnt have the Megadeth name to be famous around the world, he dont need it, he make the music he likes, and the fans enjoys it. He made comercials cuz he want, as well as megadeth do many soundtracks for movies. And Mustaine hasn't made a very good album, since Marty was there, so, i think marty take very part of it! Thats is my point of view. Marty Rules! And Megadeth too!

What the fuck dude. Mustaine hasn't made a very good album after Marty left? The System has Failed, Endgame and United Abominations are all better than Megadeth's 90's stuff where Marty played. This is not an opinion, this is a fact.

I can't say I like everything Marty Friedman has done in Japan but this looks pretty good and Tokyo Jukebox had some epic songs, I've never heard a guitar sing quite like that.

Marty is great. GTFO with the comments that this is "too cute omg lolz" because not only tr00 metalz is real music- Besides, Marty has made more than enough material to make even the most metalhead fap to it (Speed Metal Symphony, Dragons Kiss, his stuff at Rust in Peace, Countdown to Extinction, etc) and some really great albums too (Scenes, Introduction and Loudspeaker come to mind). So yeah Marty is still great.

he looks gay because you rarely saw his face much when he was playing in megadeth... that mop was always covering it. regardless... yeah U.S. people would have never heard of marty friedman unless they were a megadeth fan, which i was. note: *was* -- when it was dave, marty, david and nick in the lineup. marty's guitar playing has a uniqueness. his soloing sounded different than others; probably odd scales he used or something but he wailed in rust in peace and countdown to extinction. classics.

Very disappointing. The last Friedman album I liked was Music For Speeding (and that was pushing it). He's just gone so far in the pop/dance/techno direction that I feel alienated. I find it sad that the person who inspired me to play guitar is not playing a think that I find inspirational anymore.

Im really dissappointed with marty. I wasnt expecting anything heavy or like megadeth or anything, however this video is really bad. The song is average and after watching marty in the video I cant imagine he ever played in megadeth, he looks like someone from motley crue with the lipstick and whatnot. Marty is still one of my favorite guitarists but this is really bad given what he is capable of.

i can see many coments of people who likes and dislikes the music he's doing ..by the way i'm one of many guys that wants marty to return to megadeth, like david eleffson did, but since he performed with hawaii n cacophony, with the awesome jason becker, i realized that the feeling n the armonic sounds he put with all his solos makes marty play any kind of musik he wants like neoclassic, metal, j-pop and j-rock.. etc... whatever, that's why he's one of the best guitarrist of the world...

Marty Friedman is an awesome guitarist. This is a killer song, as was his material on Tokyo Jukebox. Glad to see him playing that Jackson Kelly style guitar again. That is what he should always be playing on.

Marty has too much make up on him, God he left ]v[EGADET]-[ for this, I'm sure he regrets it now seeing how popular metal is in 2010, united abominations, endgame, david ellefson returning, the big four etc.

@MEGADETHTHRETH I get the sense that Marty is perfectly satisfied with being the token white guy here, and what happens in Ireland doesn't concern him too terribly much. If it were about the worldwide publicity he either never would have left Megadeth or would have joined a different group with worldwide recognition that allowed him to be a little more creative than what Megadeth was allowing him to be - not going to Japan and doing things that the rest of the world finds cheesy.
