I've once hired a 4x4 Panda on a holiday in the south of France. I didn't use it in heavy circumstances. But I can only say it was a very funny thing to drive!
My Grandpa has had 4 Fiat Punto's in a row for the last 10 years, and ALL of them TOTALLY have broken down (requiring assistance) merely once, with a couple of minor problems here and there. Fix it again tomorrow really is miles away for what they say...

very nice until it breaks down. Fiats don't even need to offroad to breakdown all the time. A nice clean road is enough for that. Let along offroad lol
I can maintain the worse piece of junk if I have constant maintenance though ;)
I bet la Suisse's poste have constant maintenance. If you're a regular joe, you don't do constant maintenance on your car. You only do the scheduled maintenances from time to time.
Now that Fiat and Chrysler are one and the same, I wonder what products they will offer in the future. Fiat has proven that you don't need to shell out 40K + Dollars for a big SUV to drive over a pot hole or through some mud.
ragazzi, il bloccaggio del differenziale della Panda, permette di ruotre il volante e di tenerlo inserito?? oserve solo x uscire dai pantano come nelle off road?
I wonder if it has a proper chassis or if its using on of those on-piece reinforced bodies, no quite sure of the proper name for them in English. Still rather have the Suzuki X-Head :)
i wouldnt mine having a panda but what chris was talking about the panda probably came in 2nd of offroading to the king of offroading the ranger rover
In my opinion, the Panda is better off road than the Range Rover - they have the same diff locking potential, but the Panda is so much lighter, it can just glide over things that the Range Rover would sink into.
The best small offroaders
Fiat Panda 4x4
Suzuki Samurai
Land Rover Defender 90
Daihatsu Terios
Jeep Wrangler

these new 2wd 1.3l multijet pandas get 90hp and 175nm with 400$ chip tuning. that would make the panda fast.. your stock 0-60 in 20s suck..
vectraB97 2 years ago
cool car. just to bad you can't buy it with a small turbo diesel. that would be a better car, more torque, easy to chip tune for more hp/torque..

its an amazing offroader when you think it has at most 100hp when other cars have trouble achieveing the same with 2 sometimes 3 times as much
marcofavav 3 years ago
The new 4x4 has 60bhp, and the original Panda 4x4 has 50bhp (which, quite honestly is better off road than the new one).

I have one of those, theyre awesome. Much cheaper than pretty much any other 4x4 which is whats probably best about it.
What they dont show you is how bouncy they are when going over bumps.

I agree, panda is an excellent small car, the honor of Fiat, acting like a lot of quality, especially 4x4 versions!

dvidoff,,watch the panda 4x4 vs range rover vid,,,it explains the 4x4 system on the panda. quite clever but not a real 4x4.

superb car..it still amaze me what litels car can do, like the little jimmy, but this is a town car with 4x4, not a 4wd car ! and still rocks !
