  • this is a really good version the only one that compares to Louis armstrong.

  • I've listened to both Sinatra and Darin sing Mack the Knife. I love Sinatra but he could never have made the song the hit it became. His style of singing this versus Darin, sure they weren't trying to sound like the other, but this song needed what Darin had and could give it.

  • Frank did it longer...and better I guess. But Bobby filled our young lives with joy. Nobody sings Mack, or Beyn the Sea like Bobby. Thanks man.

  • Bobby Darin you are missed. Wonderful version! Thank you for posting :)

  • I don't get some of these comments. Frank thought this song was the greatest song ever song/written. Even with that, its not fair to say that he is better/would have been better than Sinatra...

  • only two people can sing this the way it was meant to be sung, Bobby here and Ella Fitzgerald. Sorry Frank...

  • @logixisbad lol theres a version where frank actually acknowledges that he won't add anything to mack the knife cause boddy and ella were just better .

  • @logixisbad i think you forgot louis armstrong.

  • How sad he passed away so soon. He was better and would’ve been greater than Sinatra.

  • Great post....the best swing singer ever!!! Never sang the song the same way twice....

  • I agree, you can tell he is really not well. He had a tough desire to still sing to his fans. We still love you Bobby and will always remember you wonderful talent. First time I have seen this version.-----Thanks for the post.

  • This had to be near when he passed, very rare post. Thanks
