  • Read about the production of the Mac in his biography... I appreciate being able to see the video. Very cool.

  • @ 8:30 - "235 people in America..."

It looks like the entire nation is in that building then. That would also mean America's been growing at over 11million people per year... Look out China

  • Got, i Love My iMac.

  • عبقرية والاعلان فى الدقيقة 09:00 تحفة بحد ذاته موسيقى وكلمات وطريقة الالقاء

  • does anyone know how to make a slideshow like that when your computer starts?

  • @theanthony345 i can do it in windows, i create the program in Visual Basic, than i set it as start up! we olso can change the welcome sound, shutdown sound and over all.

  • Amazing and a very powerful machine in 1984. The mac was 10 years ahead of its time and was the first semi modern PC (before the internet). For the kids today who complain it was garbage? I have to say you have no idea what life was like back then. Computers were a privilege if you had rich parents. You got a butt-ugly green screen. No sound with no fonts. Maybe a 4 color screen if you are lucky. (today's screens are 16.7 million colors).

  • mac or pc? both.

  • steve jobs is more awesome than bill gates

  • @LionheartCloud given the fact that bill and melinda lead the largest philanthropic foundations the world has ever seen - Bill is arguably the most awesome person on the planet. He is truly a reall person that cares.

  • @LionheartCloud yea, all gates is doing is saving African kids from hunger and starvation. maybe its time u reevaluated your definition of awesome.

  • Rest in peace, Steve Jobs. Your innovations, either controversial or astronomical, will immortalize you...Bill Gates will miss you too

  • Apple lost Steve Jobs. he goes to heaven for doing a good job for create the best apple products.

  • i240p :D

  • RIP dude :)

  • Wow, 128kb of RAM for $2500. What a bargain.

  • When I look at this PC and laugh because of the fact that:

20-30 years from now, people will look at our current high end PCs like they are worthless/obsolete :P

The funny part is that I cant imagine what PC will be like 20-30 years from now.

  • @IQerat It might be inserted in our brains...

  • 400k bytes of information in your pocket? amazing.

  • People don't understand that this commercial is from the 80's. I wasn't even born and watching this for the first time made me realize how far we've come in technology with Steve Jobs being a great contributor. I'm not much of an Apple user, but I do give a lot of credit for them for re-inventing many products.

  • It seems like tech stuff prices keep rising but when you look back tech has gotten better and cheaper

  • R.I.P

  • Wow, That's What Steve Jobs Used To Look Like?

  • Comment removed

  • @ferbess No, 124 KB actually.

  • RIP our hero !

  • 2:28 "high definition, super crisp, bitmap, 9", black and white screen"

    He could sell anything ;-)

  • R.I.P Steve J.

  • yea, high definition screen!!

  • I think its funny how the ipod is over 100x more powerful than this.

    RIP

  • Over $2grand? :) Aww .... Steve Jobs will be missed!

  • RIP :'(

  • thank you for a glorious tech revolution

  • 25 dislikes come from those from Microsoft..

  • Goodbye, Mr. Jobs. You were a seer of technology and a last hope for American design and ingenuity. Your impact on today's world is match by no other figure.

  • RIP Steve Jobs. Thanks for giving us a lot of cool stuff.

  • imagine what the future holds... i cant help but to help whenever the crowd reacts to something amazing that steve described about the macintosh..but seeing it at this time is really just funny but also an eye opener .. just imagine. :)

  • Wow, they weren't cheap back then, and they still aren't today.

  • This video makes me regret I am not old enough for being there when it all happened!

  • I love how all the nerdy nutjobs go ballistic when they see the chess game

  • smoke weed every day

  • Wow, look at those technologies in past, those are too ugly... i wonder what would happen in our technologies in the future, they will laugh at our Iphones also..

  • @promilemac yes, they will. it's called innovation ;)

  • people should be grateful that Steve Jobs exist,if he doesn't,we don't even know YouTube exist, lol

  • And a star is born!

  • ps. i own a 1000th like! :D

  • 1000 likes for this video!

rest in peace Steve Jobs, you were genius!

  • 128 KB RAM? O.o wow...

  • but will it blend?

  • Jobs was a handsome guy, at least not as nerdy looking as gates. lol

  • FAKE

3.5" disk drives are a futuristic fantasy

  • @Loltroll551 haha

  • all those sophisicated functions of Apple II are now the basic functions of a computer. ahhh the past. i wasn't born back then.

  • He's not dead, he travelled to the 29th century to get more technology!

  • But can it play world of warcraft?

  • Comment removed

  • lol, 02:28

  • Haha the price point for Apple products hasn't changed in 27 years!!!!

  • lmao @ this being "high definition" in the 80s.

  • Bill Gates=copycat.

  • "Out of the 235 people in America..." Jeez, this is a small country. iSmile

  • 128Kbs of RAM?! LOL! Evolution...geesh. My calculator (today) has more power than this.

  • Thank you Steve for this great Mac i'm on right now. It is way better than my old PC that won't load or goes to slow.

  • The man had an incomparable ability to make consumers buy the EXACT same product TWICE.....that is a true GENIUS!!!!!!!!

R.I.P Jobs.....Im not an Apple fan myself, however, his innovations have impacted the way the world communicates. Human Beings have three fundamental needs : 1) food/water 2) Shelter/security 3) Social interaction/companionship. Jobs was able to fulfill one of Human beings' basic fundamental needs and that is remarkable

  • Stay young, stay foolish. Goodbye Steve.

  • RIP Steve

  • R.I.P Steve.

  • The Lisa only had 1 mouse button. :(

Atleast the Xerox it copied had 2.

  • @Sismiques What were you supposed to do with a 2-button mouse? Remember, the time was in the 80's.

  • @metroid567

Why don't you ask Apple that now?

Even though they allow a 2 button mouse to be used, the fools still ship Macs with antique 1 button mice.

  • @Sismiques This is incorrect. All customers are permitted to choose which input method they would like to purchase with their Mac, be it the Mighty Mouse, Magic Mouse, or Magic Trackpad. The mighty and magic mice are both two button products. The Magic Trackpad is configured to accept Multi-Touch gestures which the operating system recognizes as right clicks.

  • @Railfan2103

    Sorta, but decades late.

  • @metroid567

  • @Rariix

there hearing be gone from an iPad2????

  • Steve is so hot...

  • $2495 adjusted for inflation is $5,440 today. Awfully expensive for a computer with 192kb of RAM. It's amazing how far we've come

  • Respect.

  • "Heres to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes the ones who see things differently theyre not fond of rules You can disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the one thing you cant do is ignore them because they change things they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do."

    Steve Jobs

  • His kids Hand and Blow will miss him.

  • $2495 dollars!! Now I know why we didn't have a computer at home when I was a kid!!

  • @jellybeanrock Only $2495!

  • @funky3ddy yeah , what a deal!!!! LOL I remember when my dad bought a VCR, it cost $1500!

  • @jellybeanrock $5,440.13 today adjusting for inflation

  • @nhvfx Yeah, technology used to be expensive!

  • RIP... it truly was insanely great

  • "It communicates with you in a HIGH DEFINITION, super-crisp, bitmap, 9 inch black and white screen."

    ...

    LOL!

  • @ThatAgent ur an idiot. i think you left your brain in ur pocket!

    Wajdi Abderrahmen - Tunisia !

  • Anyone who dislikes now is an asshole

  • I want iPhone4S!!

  • lol it's so ridiculous how much shit has changed in only 25 years. We are truly living in the future.

  • @Ringei144 Just think in a mere 17 years from this video, jobs will introduce the Ipod.

  • @Ringei144 27 years..at the time he presented the Mac, it was considered as the future....

  • @Ringei144

Unfortunately not, we are living in the past for most things

Tech is 100 years behind science, Industry will never try innovation, as long as it's possible to make money with old crap.

Steve Jobs was so great, because he had no fear to risk new things.

  • Genius. I'm not an Apple user, but this man was an artist of computer technology.

  • i have a windows

  • Steve Jobs thank you for everything!

  • I cant believe that pile of junk cost 2,4000 in early 80's money, which is probably more like 3000 today. Wow.

  • @Jeffersonwazright its 2400 not 24000

  • @Jeffersonwazright

Try $5700 and worth every penny back in 1984! As a child what I knew then were ugly green screen IBMs and terminals with no fonts and speaker that did bleeps and blops that sounded like a door bell. Notice the ad had fonts galore and this was a VERY BIG deal in 1984. Junk?? Go watch a video of lotus 123 for dos on youtube with green screen goodness and then tell me that mac is still junk? It was 10 years ahead of its time. Kids today ... sigh

  • that's $2495 in 1984 dolars which today equals $5440. that's about the same as today's flagship Mac. nothings changed:)

  • R.i.P =you was and will always be. A GENEIUS!

  • @vibelake and you will always be terrible at grammar.

  • @Jeffersonwazright haha it´s funny! because it´s true...
