hey i found a bug crawling on my laptop (on my bed) and i was wondering if it was a bed bug. It was light brown, about a centimeter long, and only about as wide as a strand of hair.
It is a scam created by the international transport there are bed bugs EVERYWHERE! The exterminator keeps the monopoly of crontrôle bedbugs infest If you are you need to spend hundreds of dollars and the problem will return, so it is in the interest of exterminating not solve the problem once and for all there is more $ $ $ to do.
I travel frequently for work and stay in the nicest hotels. Somehow I brought these nasty things home with me and they are biting me in my sleep. It is driving me crazy. I've treated the room, enlcosed the mattress and boxspring and the next step is an expensive exterminator. Following the steps in this video is a lot to do, but worth it. I've always thought of bed bugs as something that happens to people that live in dirty homes, but it can happen to anyone; especially if you travel alot
@666Agora666 No research indicates that you can. However there has been word out that MRSA can be passed by these bugs. Check out the CDC's website.
I saw a comment earlier that said that immigration wasn't an issue. I kinda disagree. Back when DDT was legal, we pretty well got rid of them. My main customers are from third world countries or rich folks who travel. There is something to be said to a high degree about immigration, politically correct or not.
Relax. You're safe. No bedbugs in Alaska. It's very rare. Breath. Slowly. Watch something else. Maybe Black Mesa. That was a joke. Fat chance. Maybe minecraft. Yes, minecraft. Minecraft good. No bedbugs in minecraft.
@Reverendjim1. I don't think this can be traced to immigration. I think that the human population as a whole is much more mobile than it was 100 years ago.
Interestingly, I was going through extremely old newspapers from 1897 and found a poem from a very small mining town called Rosita (In Colorado: Now a ghost town) that included a reference to bed bugs. These creatures are not a new problem...just a resurfacing problem.
My grandparents who would all be 100- 110 year old now, spoke of bedbugs but they said that they were eradicated. How did they suddenly come back. Do you think illegal immigration and third world immigration has anything to do with it? That 1965 immigration bill sure did not have the health of the USA in mind.
@Reverendjim1 illegal immigration? Seriously? Are you fucking stupid? When's the last time you've stayed in a hotel and seen a group of illegal immigrants with the sufficient id required to check in, let alone the amount of cash required to stay there... How about regular international travel, people we actually want to bring to our country who are visiting 100% legally carrying in these things in their luggage. I can't believe you can be that ignorant, seriously.
@fiftyfuckingfeet Yes, after working with US customs on a 14 month project I am even more serious. The US government knows the origins of this pest & why it has reoccurred. Latin America & India are the primary sources. Thanks to lax policies & enforcement we are seeing an increase in the transmission of communicable diseases & pests like bed bugs. This is a political nightmare in the government with officials suppressing the release of such findings but I will be releasing some soon.
@rokaiNY. Headboards that have been previously treated with diatomaceous earth or silica based products will reduce the incidence of harborage in that area. If you find these products (white powder...if its a low-end hotel it COULD be something else so beware)you should pull off the sheets and look along the folds of the mattress and under the boxspring. I highly recommend the "bed bug identifier" app for further hints and tips (preview attached as a video response to this video. 8
@RokaiNY. You can usually just lift headboards up and lift them right off the wall. It takes very little effort. This is usually the best spot to check for harboring bed bugs, cast skin and fecal spotting. You can also check mattress folds, behind artwork etc. However, since they key in on CO2 and peak feed between 2-5 AM(ish) and then return to tight/dark places (a behavior called thigmotaxis) you will often find them at least some evidence of infestation behind the headboard.
Interesting, but I won't be prying the headboards off the walls of my hotel rooms anytime soon. It would be nice if you'd show a bit more of the things the typical hotel guest might be able to find.
What the fuck? Whoever have the nickname Lonehike , hey don't blame on the immigrant that bring bed bugs. It does not matter where people come from bedbugs are everywhere in this world. So fuck you and get it right.
The reason bedbugs are such a huge problem in this country is because people are fucking retarded. When they encounter bedbugs, they don't take action until like 3 months later when they realize that they're in some deep shit. It all scatters.
At least there are few people out there who have some common sense.
@adwdragon no i dont get it? what are you trying to say, i stayed at a budget lodge in irving tx, room 240, definite and serious bed bug contamination. they bit the crap out of me. so please clearly explain, h,b,w,d,l,r,r,l.
...I think I am going to sleep in my car when I'm traveling from now on.

Good video. Funny thing is...we are all being feasted upon every night in bed, only difference is we can not see the tiny microscopic buggers.
