I have been doing my own chemical peels for 6 years, im 36 i dont not have a line on my face, i doctors pay around £20.00 for the products and charge £500.00 robbing bastards, its not rocket sience to learn how to do peel correctly i studied it for weeks then started doing my own peels.

If you don't know how your skin reacts to peels, it would be impossible for any professional to very carefully control the level of peel. Within a certain range, yes, but that range could be pretty big. I "frost" on spa-level peels--peels so mild that dermatologists don't even usually provide them, more mild than any of the three recognized levels of medical peel. Most women don't even get flaking skin. A straight mid-level peel with no prior knowledge of my skin could be disastrous for me.

Most of this is crazy, BUT many DIY peels are perfectly safe. In fact, even the woman who got a staph infection had a NORMAL reaction to a mid-level peel. If she'd gone to a doctor, the 3-day results would have been the same. She didn't know what to expect and failed on follow up care. I would never recommend that anyone use mid-depth peels on themselves, but it can be done safely. In fact, I would not recommend that anyone's first professional peel be mid-level.

You'd be better off getting OLAY age definity, or to avoid wrinkles all together, don't spend so much time in the sun, or if you know you're going to be in the sun, just wear sunblock.

Um, some of this is propaganda. I've been doing home chemical peels for years. I was into this broadcast until they interviewed 3 dummies who couldn't apply a band aid correctly. The only way to get a staph infection with a chemical peel is to leave the chemical peel on long that you literally fry your skin off - she was completely scabbed. Also, if they do sell high grade peel, they all tell you that you have to prep your skin FOR WEEKS before ever straight applying a high grade.

if doctors would stop ripping off woman with redicu;ous prices we wouldn't resort to this.. Doing fillers yourself is really not agood idea. Botox on the forehead is another story. I do it and no problems,, Why is it I can have the same amoiunt of injestions in mexico for afraction of the cost and it always last longer? Everytime I have had Dyseport or Botox done in the states it last maybe two months if I am lucky. American Doc;s are screwing us out of our pocket books.

Laurie knows what she's doing. She injects herself every three to four months when needed and she is always beautiful. I purchased the Freeze from her and also the ReVitalift for my smile lines. I was very happy with the results. I believe every woman should have the right to inject her own face with what she chooses and accept the consequences.
