Two cameras' colibrating on zoom and one standard would work well, but it must cost a bit more for the second camera, the good thing is though you can probably use part of the sentry program to target the camera plus the hardware too. You could get very fine images depending on what camera you use for the zoom function.
@Roan1414 I could always do like other companies do and just blatantly throw tons of money at a problem, but I'd rather come up with a solution that's affordable.
pretty good software!
bit shaky though. do you have any plans to make the cameras movement more 'smooth'?

We use a Canon BU-45H as our outdoor camera. Great images.

I'm curious, why did you choose to go with servos instead of steppers?
djphibes 2 years ago
@djphibes because servos can be told to move to an exact position wile steppers can only be told to move a specific direction

how long does it take to calibrate
Roymond911 2 years ago
@Roymond911 same as the paintball sentry.
243rf34ew 2 years ago
did you use like blob detection or what kind of tracking algorithm
Roymond911 2 years ago
Well done, it needs a zoom function though.
thest3alth 2 years ago
@thest3alth it does zoom but not automatically. i would need a different camera for that.
243rf34ew 2 years ago
Well this is a prototype isn't it? :P
Plenty of room for improvement, even though it is very good now.
