oh my gosh you're so cute! I LOVE the piggie on the tractor! And the teapot village! So charming! Love your accent as well. I'm thinking of taking a smithing class at the university here. But I'd rather learn from YOU for FREE! How I love the internet... Please PLEASE put up more vids and teach us all how to master this craft (as obviously you have). Wonderful work! really inspiring to me. thanks so much!
While 'doing' science @ skool, I was told by Toffee, the art teacher, that i was an artist. and think he was right ! The next videos will show what i think artistic endeavour and integrity can do for creative silverwork ! the Crucifix is agonised. The first thing that i carved, the angel, grew in my mind and appeared from the copper !
You are a true artist! Looking forward to seeing more of your work (here via Simon's post on FaceBook) and possibly incorporating some of your techniques into my pottery! Love the teapot with the houses on - it would probably be impossible for me to "copy" the idea as it would be just asking for things to crack apart!
@Marihani , Dear heart, I made one in clay, before the silver and it didn' crack apart, will try to put photo of it on ! and will do mare 'tube soon ! Mwah, moi !!
YES!!!! Please demo the teapots with houses. I tried silver work for a while & loved it. -But, pottery has been my passion since high school. And, as of yet, I haven't found a way to clone myself.
Mike Burton ...Simon Leach here !!! lets have some more clips, showing you working, chatting , teaching etc . Mike you have a great gift , please share your knowledge !
This teapot is just to test your limits, right? Because it's neither functional nor cleanable anymore.
