Nice vid, I have a question though. I have a carrera banshee x with 140mm bombers up front and an x- fusion glyde at the back; i've done the fort william red downhill but i don't know whether my bike would be able to do the black DH ?

@sniffy363 Cheers mate. Before I got a proper DH bike I did it on a Kona Dawg which had 5 inch travel but to be honest it nearly killed the bike as its a brutal track however, I was doing 8 runs a trip. The video does this track no justice. All I woudl say it give it a go as it will last a run easily and see what you think. I do think it will be fine albeit it will take it out on the bike as you know yourself, its not designed for this kind of track. Here is a link to an updated 2011 video.

@montymonster Nearer the bottom. To be honest the camera does the track no justice as its brutal and the jumps are awesome!

@49annie1 Ye, pretty expensive when you start. A good bike will cost you around £2K and all the gear you need like a helmet and body armour another few hundred pounds. Its amazing once you get into it though, more than worth it.

@49annie1 Yip, but a downhill bike from the Nevis Range will cost you around £70

for the day then you have £28 for the gondola uplift which is for unlimited trips. I think the Laggan is cheaper but its nothing like Fort William, its more cross country. The Nevis Range is awesome!!! If you haven't done it before you woudl be better starting with the Red route from the top station, its a little bit easier than the World Cup track.

@downhilltazzy No mate, the Downhill track and Red route with chairlift to the top of the tracks is only open from mid May to Mid September each year. Costs £28 per day but its awesome!

@THEginge4321 youl love it!! i done it today for first time it was amazin,had 6 great runs and crashed on ma 7th at the top,1st wee drop a nosed dive straight down n over the bars,got too cocky and was taught a lesson,keep the concentration goin from 1st to last run!lyin now full a nurofen and got a sore back but it was worth it cant wait till nxt year!!
