Just because Gus doesn't play as fast as Alexi Laiho or Dave Mustaine or Steve Vai or whoever doesn't mean he's worse, and it's likely that he is aware of his technical inferiority... It doesn't mean that that solo doesn't kick ass- Gus found a marketable effect that bolsters his already exceptional guitar-playing.

Of course having skills availables you to play a bigger range of things...

Look for example Carlos Santana, BB King, Jimi Hendrix, etc... They made really good music, but they don't have that many skills!

Gus G is a good guitar player, and I think Zakk is I think they have different sounds, but ive gotten used to Zakk playing with ozzy, zakk seems to have a thicker sound tht Gus, and Gus seems to have a more melodic high tone, it will be interesting to see what he is like ozzy.
