I like the anger...but it is misplaced somewhat. The police were doing their job. We made them arrest us. They were so nice that they were chastised by their superior when we arrived at the precinct without me in handcuffs. It is the legislators who are against medical medical marijuana in states where there is movement to legalize it who need their asses kicked! Then we did the right thing, judging by your comments. You are SUPPOSED to be angry. Cheryl ate a marijuana bud rather than butter, her usual way if ingesting it. The purpose was to ensure getting arrested. Butter might not have done it. She couldn't smoke for health reasons.

They didn't know how to transport her or fingerprint her. Cheryl risked up to 6 months without me, her caregiver. She did so knowing that she would die without ever having legal marijuana. Thanks for your support.

While I do support the legalization of cannabis for medical or otherwise. I do understand the position of the police, when the law exists they have to enforce it. What they should have done was just taken the cannabis and give them a warning instead of acting like the couple were arming a bomb.

This is all politics. Study after study has shown that alcohol is far more dangerous in so many ways than marijuana. Its potential for addiction, its withdrawal symptoms, its potential to cause psychoneurological diseases, its relationship to violence and crime, and so much more greatly outweigh any harm marijuana could cause...politics.
