If i were the author of DBZ, i couldve made King Vegeta at Bardok ATLEAST as powerful as a Ginyu Force member... King of Saiyans with roughly a powerlevel of 10000? i could not accept the fact that some weakling like Cui can overpower him

@eadlie24 thats what i always found funny that the strongest saiyans where just above 10,000 and they were supposed to be one of the strongest races in the universe i'm guessing it was a mix of the fact they are naturally good fighters that they had the potential to be the strongest and if you count the great ape they become 10x stronger which wud make them at about 100,000

the best explanation is probably Akira Toriyama is a very spontaneous writer..

at first Master Roushi was the most powerful being... then is Garlic, then its Piccolo, then its Piccolo Jr.. then its Vegeta, hands down......but suddenly, there's Freeza, the most powerful being in the universe, only a super saiyan can beat him..... but nah, there are lots of aliens and monsters out there that are hundreds of times more powerful... lol
