If your looking for a good beer I'm gonna recommend red stripe sam adams and stella artois, pabst blue ribbon is great when your looking to buy alot of beer for alot of people on a smaller budget, in Boston MA, 30 cans of pbr cost 17 dollars us. Admittedly, I have only been drunk a few times, but I have yet to experience a hangover. Everyone that I know that has pretty good experience with alcohol has told me that hangovers usually happen because people fall asleep with alcohol still present in their system and/or the alcohol dehydrates them. I am not saying you are wrong. I just never have heard that impurities play a huge role in hangovers.
Colour of Guinness comes from ingredients and brewing process - no impurities in it, just work same way as your excellent tip with the voddie, drink water during the evening or before retiring and you'll address the hangover prob - its dehydration that gives you a hangover
