you can take the power for the neons from the interior lighting of the boot ... so the neons only come on with the boot open... most cars these days have lamps like that, and its not to hard to hook things up

Neons like those require a transformer, or a little box which converts the car's 12 volt electrical power into a voltage that can properly power the neons. If you don't have the transformer, then you'll either need to get a new one, or get a new set that has a transformer. Now, if you do have the transformers for your neons, then you just gotta hook up some 12 volt power to it, and ground the negative wire. You can do a direct connect from a rocker switch, or jump off a relay.

tthat is a box with built in neon they are not expensive at all but most of them that come with neon lights suck...

IMO build ur own box and then put ur own lights and use LED's instead of neon since u can get some SEXY Led ropes
