True but that was due to the NVRAM clock chip being replaced with a socket and a new chip; this is something that requires skill and luck to achieve. It also had one or two rare bits of addon stuff, although having said all of this I cannot really justify the end price! OUCH!
@DRMFREEZONE I'd love a Falcon, but I could never justify paying that kind of price. Fortunately ST's don't fetch anywhere near that, it's only when you get in the realms of Mega STE's, TT's and Falcons do prices rocket.
@DRMFREEZONE Good days, indeed! The brilliance of these games mixed with a pinch of nostalgia makes for one heavy brew! Which were your favourite games?
Ah Lemmings, it was only a matter of time before that bad boy appeared! My memory is clearly playing tricks because I could have sworn that my ST had digitized speech but then I have also played it on the Amiga so it's extremely possible that i'm confusing the two. With that said my STE did have a few more bells and whistles than the plain old FM so food for thought perhaps. I'm sure you'll be able to put me right either way but yes, a great game, thoroughly addictive and a timeless classic :)
@bluetonic78 Interesting... I'll have to fire it up on my STE and see. I had it on my STFM back in the day and here I am emulating (hisss!) it on STeem (which is an STE emulator, but I was using an older TOS image from the FM line) so that could have been why there was no speech.
I'm just surprised how bad I've gotten over the years. More practice needed! I now know how to tackle that columns level by the way, those level designers are complete basts!
