You got to understand that the fed is basically just a union of big banks.... Break up the union, and go back to the "gold standard" where money is backed by gold, not debt. Then the regulation of the money system will be basically "self regulating" and not centrally controlled. The printing of money will then fall back on to the treasury like as before, and congress will control the money/debt, as mandated by the constitution.

Imagine if your dollar suddenly was worth $100 or more... Thats what would happen if it was backed by gold. You got to understand that the fed is basically just a union of big banks.... Break up the union, and go back to the "gold standard" where money is backed by gold, not debt. Then the regulation of the money system will be basically "self regulating" and not centrally controlled. The printing of money will then fall back on to the treasury like as before, and congress will control the money/debt, as mandated by the constitution.

Imagine if your dollar suddenly was worth $100 or more... Thats what would happen if it was backed by gold. I was watching a TV discussion, an economist was there, and said that China has bought many toxic bonds from different sites, so now is already in danger if these bonds would be cut down by a percentage, due to bank failures or countries which go to IMF. While the debt crisis striked worldwide, and people don't buy products, China would have an other problem, as they can not sell products even in cheap prices. They are low quality anyway. They may face a financial ka-boom somehow.

This system of debt has been going on for a very long time, before the rise of China it was Japan which was going to 'take us over' via debt. How did that work out for Japan. The US needs to grow its way out of the current crisis and deal with structural issues in financial first, debt is a long term issue. People mistakenly believe that any currency that isn't backed by gold or silver is a strictly a fiat currency. The reality is that most of the world has abandon precious metals and now backs their currency with bonds and other debt based securities. China is striving to produce a reserve currency, to do this they must aquire debt.
