I saw them last night at the Cat's Cradle. It was fuckin awesome. I'm deaf now though which is actually the fault of the douche behind me who was yelling into my ear.
It was rumored that in 2003 White was featured on Electric Six's song "Danger! High Voltage."[45] Initially both he and the Electric Six denied this, and the vocal work was credited officially to the unknown John S O'Leary.[46] However, a recent radio interview with Tim Shaw on Kerrang! 105.2 in the UK had Electric Six lead singer Dick Valentine talking openly about White singing on this song as well as speculating on the amount of money he was paid ($60,000).
Arg,i'd heard rumors they were a bit flat live but didnt want to believe it..from watching their videos you would think they were the kind of band to just go crazy live but they all look pretty bored here, especially the singer, no energy or entertainment.
that's how Dick is on stage. if you see little snippets, he seems bored, but it's a part of his act. he does look like he has a lot of fun up there usually though.
it wasn't jack white. it wasn't a lady either. it was a member of the band who's not in the band anymore. you might notice him doing backup vocals in gay bar as well
It was Jack White. The White Stripes weren't big at the time they recorded the song, and both The Stripes and Six were Detroit bands. And it sounds too much like White for it not to be. He has a pretty unique voice.
agreed, sir...it IS most defnintely Jack White, the love of my life :) I'll be going to see Electric Six in Nashville in December and I'm keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that Jack will show up to sing backup on this song. With the cancelled WS tour and all, what else has he got to do except sit around his house in Nashville and maybe do some recording with the Raconteurs!
This is exactly everything that a live music performance should be.

Actually it was Jack White. They pretended that he was a fan. Both White and the 6 has said so on separate occasions.
