  • wats in the 6 day food supply?

  • needs a touch of work man but more decent than I thought at first.

  • @boundlesseyes the camillius pilot survival knife carries a handy sharpening stone in its sheath.

    also some things to add

    - leather work gloves, fishing kit, milar blanket, light weight poncho ( for when on the move).

  • Some MEAN people here. This kid is trying to do good for his dad to make sure his dad has a few things if his plane goes down (God forbid) and some people here are trashing him. If YOU were stranded for a couple of days (with nothing), you would give ANYTHING for what this kid has put together for his dad.

  • I find it humorous how when your showing the Ultimate Survival Technologies "single handed" fire starter, that you had to use your other hand to get it open. ;)

  • Great kit! But don't take this next bit the wrong way,you think you have enough matches? Lol

  • not good kit cant say bad but add some supplies nif poosible tell me where tube tent is to buy thanx

  • one handed use striker, just push and it will trow sparks. just cant get it to work with my both hands.

REAL NICE AND EASY.... HAHAHAH LOL.....

  • where do you get the tube tent and bivy bag

  • @madhodge

    REI

  • As a pilot he's gonna may need flares.

  • As a pilot he's gonna may need flares.

  • some 550 paracord would be nice.. even though the built in parachute in the aircraft might already have some...

  • ur dad sounds awsome

  • you could a a little hexi (esbit) stove for cooking

  • get as far as the xray machine....... or are we talking light aircraft here....... either way it all depends on how the plane crashes....... i was in a hele during training that had a power failure and hit from about 9 feet ... we all had back problems/injuries ...... if a plane goes in hard... you will most likely not survive... ppl are miissing the point

  • @siypic

My dad has his private pilots license, and we fly a Cirrus SR22 GTS. And it has a built in parachute, roll cage, airbags, honeycomb crumple seat bases, a four point harness system, and XM radio, lol. And there is a better chance you will walk away from this crash than most others.

  • @4770589 cirrus..... with a parachute..... yeah a survival option is a good idea .... stand corrected.....

  • @4770589 lol you just owned him, hard.

  • @siypic private plane.... and plane and a chopper are totally different when talking about a dead stick landing ... a plane can glide for a while ... but a chopper must do what is called an "auto-rotate" where it gets brake from the props after reaching a certain fall speed but under and above a given altitude this will not work... better to be prepared than dead

  • the black fire starter is called the blast match from ultimate survival technologies

  • Great kit I think he should make it provided he crash lands on land. Why not place a small mp3 player with his favorite music they often have a fm radio that would be nice to listen to while awaiting rescue. I have that in my kit and it weighs nothing the batt can ba recharged by a small solar cell but a piolit would be resuced before the batt ran down. I try to get all things to burn AAA batteries that way if an item batt were dead you coult swap them and have the device needed.

  • sharpening stone.

  • most people that crash in the wilderness are only there for about 3 days maximum

  • @4770589 ever seen the film Cast Away?

  • @mclmatty your judging a survival situation on a fictional film?

  • @2010blackhawkdown Not really i'm just using it as an example of how you can be out there for years, that doesn't just happen in the films...

  • @mclmatty as far as ive heard people having only been stranded for years if they are servicemen/women in war time or in a really remote area

  • cool if i crashed in a plane i could defidently be able to live

  • where did you get the tube tent

  • everythings on Ebay.

  • Do you think you could make a review of the Ka Bar and the first aid kit. Thanks

  • I think you should add a G.I wool blanket and maybe some type of axe or large Ka bar type knife to handle bigger trees. overall you have a really great kit

  • The Camillus is a purpose built knife, survival

Ka bar is a purpose built knife, combat

of course either one, can do either task

  • instead of standar matches, use a waterproof case or waterproof macthes, other wise you might not get one of the most important needs for survival, fire

  • I like the magnesium bar for fire starter but having an extra firesteel aint a bad idea. The Ontario Pilots Survival knife is one of my favorite sorvival blades alongside the marine kabar! Great video though and congratulations!

  • In that case I would also make a small personal survival kit that he wears on him. Only because if he ever needs a survival kit most likely it will be due to a plane crash and in that case all the gear in the hatch will prob fly out or break upon impact.

  • Good video... For an aircraft kit I would try to keep everything on your person (vest or something)... I'd add to the medical kit, replace the tube tent with a good tarp, cover the whole tube of fire string with tape... look into pelican cases to put everything in, they would be ideal for this kit if not on person.

  • Ya we where looking at pelican boxes and dry bags, but they all would have made it to bulky and heavy the access hatch on the back of the plane is not very big, so we wanted a bag that was soft and could flex
