playing especially in PF is so far better than other guitarists. I wonder if people know about his heart. He sold his home for $3.1 million and gave all the money away to charity. 40 years ago PF's lyrics

about money and politics changed my life. He is the master of all and the reason PF stayed a band and toured for so long. I wish they would tour again to the US.

I remember back in February I went to a Guitar Center and I saw a Gretsch Duo-Jet that looked exactly like the one he's using in this video, good thing I had csh in hand, so I bought it. I plan to get the Replica Stratocaster, after that I just need to get a Gibson Les Paul that looks like his Goldtop and a Candy Apple Red Stratocaster with EMG pick ups to mimic the one he uses fore Shine On. Speaking of Shine on let's all observe a moment of silence for Rick Wright, He will be Greatly missed.

Actually, if memory serves, Polly had nothing to do with this song. It's all David, words and music. On the disc, I think David even played every instrument except drums.

It sounds like a special love song to Polly in the burning glow of the evening - end of the album, the (hate saying this) later years of David's career and life - warmth, satisfaction, comfort, peace, and love. It's one of my favourites.

Yeah, in the Making Of 'On An Island' documentary from David's Remember that Night DVD, he says thay Polly didn't want him to buy her anything for her birthday, but rather him make something, so he made this song writing the lyrics and playing all instruments aside from drums. Very beautiful song.
