can someone please answer my question? ok, i just recently downloaded "cryengine3". i have gotten a little bit used to it, but thats not my problem. this video is in crysis 2, the cryengine3 i have is like in crysis ? idk y this is , but do you have to have the legit game for that? please help.

Yo devilpr, I really appreciate this vid, as as you said, there are virtually no videos on youtube showing Crysis 2's smart AI; quite the opposite in fact. Crytek made such a big deal on how their new AI was supposed to be really good and for the most part, I agree with them, and I hate the fact everyone shows the bugs in their videos in a game engine which obviously took a lot of effort to upgrade.

As I see it, the main disadvantage of CE3 AI (judging by the editor/Crysis 2) is the fact that it's very slow; when entering the first room, it took them too much time. When they entered the second room, faster spread out would save the life of one of them.

@TheGagunga The main point of me posting this was to prove how smart they where, theres countless amounts of videos going throughout youtube that exploit the ai's mishaps but very few exploit their smart side. Im honestly sorry im not able to post more like how i previously planned, i havent been back on the editor in a while.

@devilrpr They are smart indeed, Crytek did and awesome job on making the AI, if you would compare theses ai's agains other games, crytek would have the best ones in the most cases!. They are not only good at making graphics, but they also got the gameplay in place. Btw this video is very good, Nice and simple proof of the advanced AI !

Yeah I hear a lot of people bitching about the ai, but I think being able to run around enemy soldiers invisible just makes you notice flaws you wouldn't notice in more traditional games.

@devilrpr sorry i have a crappy wifi system that shift my typing so i try typing as fast without think before it starts to type for me. in my comments i was talking about the four guys who enter the first room that they where moving in the same way like if there was a mirror between them for. like if one of them lift there arms so will the others in the same exact way. these A I Guys Should have a unique difference in each one of them so they don't have the same movements like a copycat.

@toonyfatninjas i mean they move at the same exact speed they walk in the same way they all holding there guns in the same level. AI Should be use for characters movements. like every character should walk different from the others or hold there guns at different levels or positions they all are also the same height. if this is a demo for new tech then they should have work on the smaller details that will make all the difference.

@toonyfatninjas on top of that the monster only focuses on one guy instead of going crazy and attacking the others. who are shooting at him and he is feeling it. but ignore the pain and just attack one guy the first guy that attack him. if you where attack by bees how would you react to them or where the pain is coming in from. you would wave your arms around like a crazy guy and fight them while holding your wounds hands or hand and run like crazy.

@toonyfatninjas yeah, my guess is that the ai isint really built to fight multiple people at once. The ai in crysis one responds alot better to large groups, thats why ive went back to editing crysis one maps.

@Jcolinsol I believe it was a preset "geom entity" that i found, you can create any kind of structure that comes to mind by proper utilization of the solids tool, i honestly dont know how to use it very well.

I didnt like Crysis 2's AI, they all do very dumb things like stare into walls, jump off ledges or most of all have the inability to throw nades over walls.

I think they got dumbbed down tho as Crysis 1's AI were ninjas.

@casanova1135 No, it will not work unless you have the full game.  I have tried this on a laptop and it wouldnt allow me to run the game without a copy of C2.
