this is a chinese lantern. the first time i saw them i was freaked out too but yeah deffinatly chinese lanterns iv filmed them before n stuff and its just like this. their available all year round now so its hard to tell if your seing a ufo or lantern. but ufos tend to be white or multi coloured and move in different directions fast. lanterns just sort of hover smoothly like in this video

please please be told that these are chinese lanterns and if you ever see a REAL UFO then you will really know about it however there are very few real ufos to be seen...

@rollpacific A REAL UFO is an object that you cannot identify at all. That's what the acronym "UFO" stands for. A secret military air force is, once identified, NOT a UFO anymore, actually, despite it is meant to be secret. The same applies to those submarines in the 80's and 90's that repeatedly were reported about.

These are without doubt Chinese lanterns. They're becoming very popular now. I see them regularly in Neath, South Wales these days. The last time I saw one was just 2 nights ago. I saw about 8 or 9 together the first time, back in May this year. I thought they were UFOs at first too, but soon sussed out what they really were. If you follow them they eventually go out.

i saw three orange lights around about 10.50pm 27/03/10 in llantwit major , south wales in the car coming home from a party in barry ( i didn't drink )  - i'm copy and pasting this to loads of video's i wanna response :D i think they wer those lanterns. but at the time my imagination was going mad

I seen the same ufo in south wales in merthyr tydfil on the same day! it was no plane or helicopter cos they have a flashing beacon. It was just a solid orange/red glow that moved much more quicker than any plane or jet i seen.

We have seen the same thing in Birmingham. Over time we've seen White and Orange unexplained orbs travelling across the sky. Havn't seen any for a while, I keep looking though. My last comment was to arwynj55 btw. :D

What's more perplexing is the conclusive comments about what it is or isn't...and all from a low quality shaky footage.

Do you really need to decide yay or nay..why not just say nothing.

In all fairness it can easily be classified as a UFO which means Unidentified Flying object.

Why this automatically suggests ET.'s in u'r thoughts is your doing.

Saying "its a UFO " has become synonimous as "it's an Alien spaceship".

It is equally ridiculous 2 say it's a chinese lantern cus you cn't prove it.

I remember flying back to the UK, we hit the worst turblance I ever experienced...dropping thousands of feet here and there..people crying, praying, etc.

The pilot gets on, posh englishman..simply says..oh, we are hitting a bit of turb..no worries.

@JPOSBORNE I have seen loads of strange objects UFOS over my town harrogate and we have recently been on the news and in the paper for sightings of discs and bright lights in the sky,i have seen all kinds of weird stuff and also seen these orange balls of light myself stay in one place for 20 minutes or so i have also seen groups of them move at some speed and go in seperate directions then meet up again etc etc chinese lanterns just flicker and move slowly.
