A certain Sacrifice was released on video back in 1985 after Madonna became famous. You can buy the movie on fucking Amazon. It was shot in 1979 and 1980 as a student film for stephen john lewicki.

@facefavour I heard of this movie many times, but I didn't know it was originally commercially available, the company that distributes this movie today sells snuff films, cannibalistic films, films depicting satanic blood sacrifices etc...ALL REAL NOTHING STAGED AND NO EFFECTS...

The thing is I'm not sure this is a snuff film at all, it's staged.

It's obviously kinda sick to include the 19 year old "star-to-be" girl in this kind of movie though, it's definitely Illumanti work here...

the movie was shot on super 8mm. She only got paid after Steve Lewickie needed to reshooot a few scenes in 1980. Notice her hair is much longer! It was a student film for Steven and Madonna was a struggling artist. She won't talk about this film, but It's a nice look into her early years as a star in the making.

the director gave madonna $100 for appearing in this film...he should have asked for change! i am a huge madonna fan and i know it's not just the amateur acting that makes the film bad, it's also things like... i can't make out the background noise- is it traffic or wind?

I bought this film off ebay for £2.

It was awful but having said that it was just a student film which happened to have Madonna in it. The sound, film quality and acting is just terrible but it's an interesting piece of real New York in 1979. Incidentally part of it was filmed in 1981, Madonna's hair changed lengths many times through-out. There is also a lot of gratuitous nudity courtesy of..you've guessed it..Madonna!
