  • great job very good

  • Wow great job man.. I like how you started with the verse rather than the chorus.. I love the tune but the chorus is really sang a lot in the originall lol I did this tune too if you wanna check it out. Just click my username or paste: watch?v=4be_xlXY_xY

  • Hey, thanks! Yeah it's a long song with all those choruses, plus Neil does it all different ways, so I took the liberty of doing it my way!

  • great cover, 5* look also my Neil Young covers iff you will! greetz harmusic

  • Nice Job!!

  • wow.

    that's great

  • beautifully played and sung

  • this was really good.. i might take a stab at it man

  • Thank you! Based on the other two vids you have up, I think you'll do it well. Looking forward to it

  • Nice job. Ya, there are a few versions. I'm trying to learn a version with G at the 7th fret and FaddG on the 5th and its a bit more up tempo. I'm jealous of your voice btw.

  • That's the Live Rust version, isn't it? This is tuned down a whole step. My guitar & vocal skills are limited, so I do what I can. I play by accident...

    Thanks for the kind words.

  • Congrats on the simply Rustie performance of SM !

  • Great Job! I have been playing SM for years but I can't get the seperation in the guitar notes like you can.

  • I play by accident....my friend who taught me this song some 30 years ago would say I'm doing it wrong, but hey, that's why it's called a cover! Neil has so many versions of this song, who can say if it's not exactly right. Would like to hear yours anyway, rusted stevie.

  • This is lovely. A beautifully understated gentle treatment of a beautiful song. I don't know how to play it so I'm envious, but impressed and am subscribing!

  • Thank you! There's more than a few NY songs that easily slip from one to another after a verse or chorus if I'm not singing along. Sail Away > Out on the Weekend, Human Highway > Tell Me Why & Old Laughing Lady > Sugar Mtn come to mind. I guess with the hundreds of songs he's written, it's hard not to repeat a few chord progressions.

  • Cool version! When I try this I always end up going into 'Comes a Time' for some reason. Strange...

  • I had to write down the first line of each verse for reference. You'd think after all these years, I'd remember. Thanks for the compliments. Looking forward to yours.

  • Really enjoy your singing and playing on this one! Great rendition. I recorded about 1/4 of this but forgot a verse so I gave up! You do the song justice.
