Anyone else feel like this was two different games? The first levels were just weird, like another world, not really creepy but just different. Kind of childish, innocent. The Dollhouse level on the other hand was much more "wrong" like something was broken as opposed to just different. It also felt more real, like mixture of fantasy and reality whereas the others had just been fantasy. For me, the Dollhouse was the setting - the rest were just drawn-out walks from point A to point B.

There is something mechanical about this whole song. Like the cogs and of a long abandoned but still playing music box to which a broken and decaying doll is dancing to, limited by it's metal, rusted joints......lolwut where did that come from?

i think this was the first game i played stoned... could be wrong, but i was jumping on dominoes and stuff, then suddenly there was a fish that could only speak while singing and she was out of tune and looked like a bowl, i was like "da FUCK am i playin?!?!"

@emokidmercedes SPOILERS: I think essentially that was the point of many of the dolls. Alice knew Bumby had raped her sister, but was denying it up until this point. The knowledge manifested in the form of the dolls being abused, often with their legs splayed apart or in sexual positions. It was her mind trying to make the point hit home.

This whole level is why I loved Madness Returns, really. You don't see symbolism like that in your average bullshitty game these days.

I just HATED the Dollhouse. The other 4 levels? Fine- they were creepy, pleasant in their own way, and absolutely insane. The Dollhouse? Nothing makes sense, I keep trying to figure out where the fuck I'm supposed to go, and then suddenly parts of the house just close and open BECAUSE?! At least underground it was all right, but the 'fake happy' bit just tweaked me out!!!

I hate the chapter 5. I hate the dollhouse and everything. Seriously, it's too.... horrible to me. Not the dolls, the eyes there. And I was playing today and I saw the number 666 in a door. This song kinda reminds me of The Fun House from the first game. That maze of mirrors took me years to figure out where to go. And stuff kept poppin out to kill me... ARG! It scared me for weeks. I couldn't look in my mirror cause I thought robots were going to pop out of it.

the first game is "American Macgee's Alice" thats the start of everything, the fire thaty killed her parents, her years spent in the asylum, how Wonderland got corrupted (like the red queen becoming a monster and the mad hatter becoming a mad scientist) just see some parts, like alice saying to the hatter "I remember putting you to pieces, but not this way) or the cat reminding alice how she killed the red queen

And then suddenly, a life sized doll version of Alice appears from the shadow, pop locking and walking in a twisted jerking motion, and just stops and asks with a very disturbing voice. "Would you like to plaaaaaaaaaay..?"
