  • dimebag will never die he will allways live on trough his music

  • 300th like, rest in peace dime bag, you were the man and always will be

  • This solo is the reason I picked up a guitar almost fifteen years ago and never put it down!

  • easily one of the best guitar solos ever...and easily one of the best guitar players ever. I love that it isn't a typical metal solo that is hell bent on going faster...it slows down and makes a sweet sweet noise with a great Dimebag squeal at the end. So awesome.

  • 1:35 i could listen to that all day. R.I.P. Dimebag

  • He would be only 45 years old if he was alive!!!!!

So young! Fuck the guy who killed him!

And kill justin bieber, because he sings the ''Revolution is my Name'' from Pantera!!!!!

  • @TheKINGovHell No? Justin Bieber doesn´t sing "Revolution is my name"

  • @TheKINGovHell that's not really justin bieber...its a bunch of kids who did a cover and some idiot mislabeled it...you can watch the live video of them recording it.

  • what @joshc1701 said

  • I want the outro to be at my funeral.

  • @minpinful Disrespectful cunt.

  • he's rocking out with the angels as we speak

  • @minpinful Are you the guy who blows obese 15 inch penises daily while your dog lucy licks off floods of splooge from your face?.. oh well to bad! :)

  • that guitar shape is so extreme that I have never seen anybody that it suits him on stage except dime himself.

  • Has anyone ever found a guitar solo that shows more soul, emotion, skill, style, heavyness, coolness and personality at the same time? No? thought so. This the best fuckin solo ever.

  • best solo ever made. guitar is just speakin

  • love the solo and video...

  • well i dunno..many may disagree...but in guitar playing the main thing is feel and not the speed..it should be expressive rather than showing off..in my buk as far as metal is concerned randy and dime are the only i mean only who combine enormous feel n speed into one package which i think makes them legends...

  • Amazing song. Brings back great memories.

This short piece is worth the whole CD.

  • best tribute i ever seen

  • @iamakornfan thank you sir. Stay metal \,,/

  • @rolfeijg2 hey what happend with the video!?? D= i love this solo,

  • 1:35-2:26 D I M E killed that shit.

  • @FearPantera he killed everything

  • You have got to love that bass in there too.

  • R.I.P Darrell "Dimebag" Abbot /,,/

  • i love how people say slash and evh are the best and they are good, but they cant even compare to dime. how does someone right a solo like this and the outro is just so haunting and beautiful it just sends chills down my spine

  • amazing......how can you say it differently?

  • what a spine chilling solo..jesus

  • S.I.P Dimebag..... Shred In Piece......

  • Him and Dio are somewhere making the greatest music ever!

  • @Number1HaloFreak you forgot cliff burton :P ( a great bassist in case you didnt know him )

  • @OdysseyToPurgatory Oh yea they need a drummer (Hope none of the great drummers pass)

  • such a waste , he was a close friend of mine. it stil hurts ...

  • @344nik Truly? I'm sorry for your loss then. What was he like o be with? Isn't it amazing that his memory is kept alive by fans all around the world like me? R.I.P. Dimebag Darrell.

  • @344nik I have a friend of mine who is the lead man for ZOSO. He knew Darrel real well and says he is a great guy and missed alot. RIP DB

  • @344nik I wish I hanged out with him just for 5 mins. I even never met him. T.T

  • I recently got my dime wah from hell pedal, don't regret that purchase at all!

  • @RocknRoll7425 Wow nice, is it way better than the typical wah pedal?

  • @mario1136 Well the way I see it, you can get all the tones you can imagine from this pedal. Blues to Metal and everything in between. I love it! =)

  • @RocknRoll7425 Wow sweet.

  • r.i.p pantera

  • 1:00 volkswagen guitar... ??

  • @bfg094 yup, he used to play a Washburn Slime with a VW logo on it, don't ask me why xD Bust be some joke inside the band. He played that guitar in the last couple of tours of Pantera if I'm right.

  • @bfg094 1:06 Ganja guitar :D

  • he die doing what he love.

i wish i can die like that

  • the end is just like...yeah, you guys know about it...sad, just veeery sad!

  • rip the great late dimebagg darell.......

  • THIS IS IN MY OPINION THE GREATEST SOLO I`VE EVER HEARD!! IT`S SO VERY EMOTIONAL, YOU CAN FEEL IT AS HE PLAYS PROGRESS FROM SADNESS, TO ANGER, ANT THEN RAGE, AND FINALLY TOWHAT EVER END FEEL YOU CHOOSE. BRAVO, THAT IS WHAT IS MISSING IN 99% OF ALL ROCK BANDS THESE DAYS, IS A GUITAR PLAYER. THANKFULLY WE HAVE SLAYER, BLS, GODSMACK. BUT I`LL TELL YOU, I SAW SHINEDOWN AT ROCKFEST, AND I SWEAR ON MY LIFE THEY WERE BY FAR THE WORST LIVE ACT I`VE EVER SEEN, AND THEY HAVE 5 #1 SINGLES ON THE LATEST CD

  • this shit is so epic, gives me the chills all the fucken time! RIP!

  • Rage Against the Machine,Pantera and Type O negative,3 of my favorite Metal bands of the 90s.When ever I hear Floods memories of Dimebag swirl around in my head. The Great Southern Cowboy that was Far Beyond Driven,DIMEBAG 4EVER!!!!! \m/ ><\m/

  • Dimebag Darel rest in peace, u ill be always in Our hearts!

  • RIP Dimebag Darrell. It's 8 December, it's 6 years ago now...

  • cANT BELIEVE IT STILL..TO THIS DAY..WOW..

  • i love the ending to this song. it's so beautiful

  • @324fender True thng tht th whole image of guitar god etc. is exaggerated nd media feeded. But it isn't true that he ws bein considered as "just another metalhead" He has gained a lot of recognition even before he died (mag-articles) because he had a prtty innovative style of playing and ws part of th band tht prtty much started th New Wave of American Heavy Metal (bands such as Machine Head, Lamb Of God, Devildriver and Chimaira). I think you underrate him saying he's just another metalhead

  • @rolfeijg2 its sad that he got shot but he is just another metal head doesnt make him more special then other guitarists

  • @324fender They had 2 albums before you were even born, He was a designer(razorback guitar), an innovator(dive bomb harmonic)and inventor(wah wah pedal), and a genius when it came to understanding sound and tone. Just another metalhead is the most narrow minded constipated of any sense of reality fuckwit comment I think I have ever seen. You wouldn't be listening to half the metal you do if it weren't for this guy and the rest of the Pantera. The metal scene was in bit's over his death & stillis

  • @1Realitycracker1 Wah pedal has been around quite a while before Dime came along there buddy...

  • @strNpwrKC Okay 500 characters bit limited I knew people would take that literally, check it out he designed his signature model. revamped it. it's like a hod rod wah as he would put it, I was hoping people would read in between the lines. Wah Wah was invented in 67 by 2 guys, Bradley Plunkett, and Lester Kushner. So there we go buddy I know my shit just not enough space to write, wasn't about the wah, it was a lot deeper, shame people have to pick holes all the time

  • @rolfeijg2 and thats not underrating him

  • @324fender I think it is, but that's just a difference in opinion. I think he was a very innovative player. I've seen him do things I haven't seen other guitarists doing.

  • @324fender Of course gettin shot doesn't make you a more special guitarist. His playing style DID make him special tho. Even BEFORE he died. GUITAR Magazine rated him as best Rock Guitarist back in 1998. Even before that, in 1994, he was on the cover of GUITAR WORLD magazine entitled "The World's Most Dangerous Guitarist". So don't start tellin me he got more special because of the shooting, he already was. Once again, callin him a guitargod is exaggerated, but that doesn't mean he wasn't great.

  • @rolfeijg2 he was a good guitarist im not saying he wasnt, its a true fact that when someone as popular dies in an incident that they become more popular thats all im trying to say

  • @324fender you seem to be backpedalling because you don't have much of an idea about what was going on in the world in the 90s and early 00s...you probably can't even remember the night he died and certainly not how big pantera was from 1990-til breakup....while he was alive he was widely considered one of the best guitarists on earth, yes, his status as a "god" was cemented by his early departure but had he lived he'd still be considered one of the great elite

  • @rolfeijg2 Very true what your saying but he wasn't thought of as a god when he was alive because he wasn't paid as much attention. But once he died, people started hearing how good he really was and it made people notice his talent more. It made people think , "he's dead... we will never hear him again now that he's dead and he will have no more new music". Thats fucking deep.

  • @rolfeijg2 dont talk to me like you are my superior or something i clearly dont give a fuck, he is one of my favourite guitarists, but for the 500th time im just trying ti state that when a popular person dies they become more popular so stop taking it to heart and crying like a little bitch about it, i dont care what you got to say to me, i stated what i think, i never said hes bad and ur acting like i did read carefuly next time

  • @324fender no no! thats how it is now adays "eh its just another metal head" back then. he was teh best and will never be forgotten

  • @324fender Maybe one of the most ignorant comments I have ever seen. All he wants is to argue and take this time to pay attention to the satisfaction he gets from commenting on tributes to dead music legends on YouTube and not enjoy the music from a person who gave his heart to the guitar. 324fender........ All I have to say to you is shut the fuck up and no one gives a fuck about the little whiney arguing piss-ant that you are... Go play your Fender and keep making dumb comments on the internet

  • @rokkstar8675309 you got no fucking life another retard taking it to heart.. i said hes a good guitarist and hes one of my favourites, and ur still bitching it like some pussy.. look at michela jackson everyone was criticizing him when he was alive and when he died the whole world felt sorry and they started loving him.. its a true fact that wen a star dies he or she become more popular then they were so u can carry on all u want u clearly got no life and ur mouth is faster then ur brain period

  • @324fender Cool and all man... but you just don't seem to get the point that Dimebag Darrell was already a respected metal guitarist when he was alive, and he wasn't criticized like Michael Jackson was. Did you even read the reaction comments I made to you? The magazine articles about Dimebag, while he was still alive? I'm just saying he was a respected guitarist, even before he died. I do not believe that people were like: "meh another guitarist."

  • @324fender

He gets recognition because he had a unique style.

If anything, he gets to little recognition outside of metal circles.

  • I wish i had a chance to met him he was and always be a metal GOD!!!

  • I wish i had a chance to met him he was and awlays be a metal GOD!!!

  • this solo gives me fucking goosebumps everytime i hear it, the phrasing and tone of his playing will never be emulated. Dime was/is/will always be my idol. getcha pull brother R-I-P

  • Amazing.

  • i came o_O

  • Every single emotion is represented into this solo, except joy and happiness.

Definitly one of the most intense guitar leads EVER.

  • @Niamorg1007 AMEN BROTHER

  • I really didn't know WHY the damn security let that dumbass that killed him go on stage i mean WHAT THE HELL!??

  • @METALFREAK0101 Dude two of the security guys got shot and killed trying to tackle that dirtbag they deserve some respect man.

  • @ILiveInMomsBasement ohh shit my bad, I didn't hear about that... Sorry dude.

  • @METALFREAK0101 When someone's walking around with a gun I bet you couldnt keep someone of stage tool. A security crew member was shot by the way if I'm right.

  • R.ust I.n P.eace Dimebag Darrel

Because you were not a Human,But a Metal Machine

  • @SharpDSB sick comment "i like" hahahah. Keep it metal brother.

  • @SharpDSB What the fuck dude? Dimebag was a Metal Machine but also a very good hearted human. I've met him and i'm truly sorry that he had to die in such a pathetic. That's not the way a guitarist/person like him should have died. Not even close! Rust in Peace? That goes for Nathan Gale.

  • if the world really ends in 2012, then i'll sit on the roof with a drink and listen to "Floods" over and over and over

  • hahahah its almost as if it shouldnt even be legal to be that fucking good at guitar. hes so fuckin amazing.

  • Okay, I'm confused. Why are there even people who "dislike" this clip?

  • @vonnagel Lol, just a matter of musical taste, though this is simply a perfect solo in my honest opinion. thanks for watching

  • @vonnagel Because there are many people that hate dime....as hard as that is to believe. I've pretty much just ignored everything hateful they have to say about dime and tallied it up to the fact that they are just jealous that they will never have nor will be able to play as well as he did. This is Probably my favorite solo that Dime wrote...Watch him play it live; it's almost as if the music comes straight from his soul, through the guitar, and right into your head. I miss him so bad RIP Dime

  • he's music seems like a drug to me i want to hear it again, again and again...i really miss him...

  • Brilliant solo and outro.

  • was soad influenced by pantera?

  • @maidengr probably. Pantera influenced a whole new generation of rock, (groove) metal and obviously inspired Madonna aswell (search n watch: Madonna a new level pantera cover)

  • @rolfeijg2 I saw that video prior to seeing the comment and I must say I was disappointed when she didn't attempt to sing.

  • ty for posting this now i can listen it whole day ty <3

  • Right, try Domination, Hollow and 10's, just to name a few.

  • @ryudo113 Will do. And thanks for not getting pissed off with your comment.

  • @ryudo113 Domination was pretty good and so was 10's.

  • no problem :)

  • check out the sleep while you're at it ;D

  • lol dependes in what u think a "great ability" is about, if u think a great ability is playing 50000 bits per second then go to other video , if u apreciate feeling, creativity, innovation and stuffs then maybe dimebag could be great for you :), also take in count that pantera has influenced and mark the metal , u can look all new metal band´s influences, ull notice that pantera is always there :P

  • @InAGaddaDaVida29 strength beyond strength....

  • It's hard to appreciate his skill without playing guitar yourself. Hear those squeals he does in the slower part of the solo? They're a BITCH to nail every time, and they take forever to even get down right. Also, 1:03 he's playing while throwing up the whammy bar to get that effect. Sure, he wouldn't play a thousand notes a second, even though he could (check out his earlier solos with Pantera during the glam days), but it's the feeling that he puts into it. That's why he's so respected.

  • also listen to Cowboys form hell, revolution is my name, psycho holiday, and pride- damageplan. (his band after pantera)

  • Goddamn electric. I made a video for it check it out

  • I would, but WMG blocked it.

  • so emotional,so strong,so heavy,so unusual,so flawless and last but not least so very amazing.I hear in the solo anger, sorrow and something what would it wanted shout .... and the outro is so sorrow....i love it...Dimebag was one of Billion ! R.I.P.

  • Ten

    Ten Billion.

    RIP

  • I cry when i hear this outro , RIP Dimebag

  • god everytime i hear that outro i think of how beautiful his music is... its so amazing. RIP

  • anyone have the tabs to 1:35 from 2:25 plz ?

  • Many people tell me about how there are guitarists out there who are technically better than dime.....Though that MAY be true, I have to say Dime is still my favorite guitarist. Even to this day most guitarists do nothing but play ridiculous things to show off. Dime never did that, he was technically phenomenal (check 80's solos) but used his skills to make beautiful music instead of just a series of notes at 200+bpm...I would not be playing guitar if it wasn't for him. RIP (Rest./Rock in peace)

  • @mrsir4 everything you said is true, but in actuality, dime might just be the most technical player i have ever seen, check out his damageplan solos, or type in "dimebag darrell solos" and pick the second one, it is THE MOTHER FUCKING FASTEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN, he legatos at the speed of light on multiple strings

  • 5 years gone, Miss you lots Darrell.

Later....Till then, see you again sometime in the next life.

  • dimebag!! you are a legend main!! my fucking idol!! love u!!!! THE LEGENDARY Dimebag darrell !!

  • Up to you mate.

Jimmy was a mage, but my favourite guitarist is Dime anyway.

    R.I.P. Dime. We miss you.

  • I'd say Dime, because his guitarwork had its own presence without sacrifcing the band. Hendrix couldn't do that.

  • dime in my opinoin but everyone has there own opinion

  • one of the greatest solos!btw, the buckethead tribute is awesome and shouldn't be missed!

  • It's December 8th and I sit and miss him and love what he left us and who he was. RIP Dime

  • DIME. we miss ya bro. I know your jammin in heaven with cliff and randy throwin back some blacktooth grins. EVERYONE: On december 8th, get a bottle of Crown Royal, and some coke and drink to Dimebag Darrel Lance Abbot. Rest assured he'll join you but in heaven.

  • We miss you tons Dimebag...Your music sure as hell changed my perspective on music...You've showed what music is..not that cheap rap that we hear on the radio these days. Your music lives on.. Rock Gods head in heaven with that beautiful music..R.I.P brother...We'll never forget you.

  • There's so much heart and soul in this particular solo. Not that all of his other solos weren't face-melting, the Floods solo really hits me deep. Makes me sad that this beautiful person and talented musician can't make his amazing material, that changed peoples lives, anymore.

We all love and miss you, Darrell.

    Rest in Peace, brother.

  • buckethead made a tribute song for dimebag...it's sad you can be so un caring ...good work who ever posted this, dimebag is and will alwayz be the best

  • How do ya think buckethead learned how to play you cunt!!(and he stil sucks)What a tool!

  • Maybe it dos, but I'm pretty confident our brother Dimebag was first here. This is dimes master piece which he started writing back in 88. Just watch the video 'Dimebag Darrell - Guitar Solo 1988". In that vid you'll see him play the lick he does in this song. get your facts right kid.

  • By the way: first buckethead record, Bucketheadland, 1992. Dimebag was first as I expected.

  • fuck you

  • I7III same here dude i never met him and it feels like i was best friends with him and im so sad hes gone. kinda wierd im so sad and i dont even know him.

  • I know how you feel bro, we all miss Dime. keep it fucking metal man! CFH!

  • @mxv22

    Same......

    Might be from hes playing.....

feels like he express hes peronality through the strings!

    R.I.P Genuis!

  • This Is Dime, This Is Beautiful.

  • It feels good to know that 100 years from now, people will look back at this with the same amount of lamentation for Dime and the same amount of disgust for Gale.

  • @melikeypie i was in gales position one, i was a paranoid schizophrenic at one point also and went nuts lie him but im glad to be alive today and if i were him id look back at this to and be a miserable fuck

  • @melikeypie i was in gales position one, i was a paranoid schizophrenic at one point also and went nuts lie him but im glad to be alive today and if i were him id look back at this to and be a miserable fuck

  • My most favorite solo ever.

  • Happy birthday dime....getcha pull!

  • Happy birthday Dimebag 20.8.2009 rest in peace... you will always be legend.. \../
