Personally, being male, I don't find make-up attractive at all. It's deceit, unless it was meant to be art.
Same with all those fancy hairstyles. To all women of the earth: Short hair is much more comfortable! And therefore much more attractive to men who like comfortable women. Shave those heads please!
Noone should be spending so much time to make themselves look "good", it's a waste of time, there's so much to live!
Sadunkal - Ok... what if women didn't shave their legs or arm pits. What if our feet looked like most mens with discolored nails, cracked skin and calluses. What about women with facial hair, what if they didn't pluck. What if we didn't where lotion. If we didn't do all those things that are considered grooming, would we still be beautiful? If you think so, well than there is one less shallow person in the world. But men who prefer "natural" women don't know the length we go to be beautiful.
"I can't guarantee that I'll find hairy women physically more attractive, habits are not so easy to overcome. Nevertheless, I can guarantee that I'll do my best and so should we all!"
And regarding calluses/cracked skin/nails etc.: I think one has to distinguish between health/comfort -which have to do with anatomy/biology- and "beauty" -which only has to do with visual imaginary concepts.
That would probably be true a year ago or so, but now I'm not so certain about that. I trained myself a bit, deprogrammed if you will, so I think that there is a good chance I'd be able to be perceive the hairs just as a natural consequence of the woman being a human. But I never got to experiment actually, so it's just a guess. And it would still require some extra effort on my part I suppose, the programming did not lose its effect completely. All in all, I'm still more optimistic than you.
Although not directly related, this article contains a lot of information about the nature of desire and it's interesting:
NYTimes - What Do Women Want? (January 25, 2009)
Google it, it makes one think.
And my personal view is that it's probable that the cultural influences are the strongest factor in shaping women's or men's art of sexual desires. For example that discussion in the article would be fundamentally different if native American or African tribal cultures were studied, I think...
"The Beauty Myth: How Images of Beauty Are Used Against Women" by Naomi Wolf
Didn't read it myself, but I think I roughly know what it's saying.
Naomi Wolf also has videos on youtube, but they're mostly not about "the beauty myth". And it should also be said that Naomi is not exactly "unbeautiful" herself... I don't know what's up with that. The need to conform and to be accepted maybe...or something else...
thumbs up if it made you smile :)

Health and wisdom is what's attractive.
