  • Did you have to make a new hole for the fork

  • @byron151227 The fork bolts on to the screw that goes through the hole in the bottom of the can that goes into the dowell stick. Just one hole if I get it right, but sometimes I wind up with more than one before I get the neck alignment just right.

  • will guitar pegs work?

    i cant think why not

but maybe there is something im overlooking

  • @IEJP Yep. Guitar pegs work fine.

  • Good WORK! XDD

  • This video made me feel like an idiot. I have been working on a homemade banjolele for some time and couldn't think of how to make the tailpiece. The fork idea is genius! You are my instrument-making hero! Thanks a million!!!

  • Sweet! Thank You! Good luck with your project... Love to see it.

  • I will definitely make a short video about it and send you the link if it turns out to be playable. I am carving the neck myself from scratch so it is taking a while. I am now really only waiting for my fret material to arrive. I tried to use only raw materials apart from the tuning pegs and drum "skin". Oh, and the strings of course.

  • Oh, I forgot radioopinions and crazyampersand = same person.

  • Can't wait to see it. Bet it's going to be awesome..

  • Im left handed, wiould i need to set up the strings opposite?

  • Yep..

  • Can't wait to hear you play the gas can banjo. lol. *****
