No... the spoiler effect is an inevitable result of the single-representative-district-based Congress and the single President. It's a waste to vote for a third party until we get an alternative voting system. Some proposed ideas are Instant Runoff Voting (IRV) also known as Ranked Choice Voting (RCV), or perhaps Approval/Range Voting systems. Do some research, but please, dedicate your time advocating for the kind of voting reform that will sustainably enable 3rd parties instead of wasting it.
@adjohnson916 Oh, the anachronism I've since become anarcho-capitalist/voluntaryist. The *best* voting reform is not handing over all but ~1/1,000,000th of the decision making power of your life over to others, but taking complete responsibility over your own life, and encouraging others to do the same.
The state is inherently illegitimate/arbitrary, as it is defined by injustice (a coercive monopoly extortion racket). Voting recognizes its legitimacy, and therefore is itself illegitimate.
@GabrielKoulikov Okay, I tend to agree although I don't see the representative state waning in power anytime soo so perhaps we might continue to fight for voting reform in hopes that the country progresses toward elected more and more libertarian candidates until anarchy is broadly perceived as even plausible?

All such "manipulation of the system" would result in is the prolonged existence of the state, as well as corrupting those already leaning towards anarchism back toward the pro-state delusion of somehow making injustice "just," a direct contradiction.
It does not matter if everyone on Earth is seeking to kill me at once; I can still live as a free man now. And the present situation is not near that extreme.
