@IMDARKFIRE007 - the galaxy class is not longer than the sovereign class, but its much wider and higher (also the reason for the 10-12 more decks)! And there are long no 1000 federationmembers on the ship - there are their families to. Also its planned to be an explorer ship - the sovereign class as a warship.

Truth be told the E is the bigger of the ships. Even Industrial light and magic, who makes the model, and paramount said this would be the biggest ship they have made to date and the biggest in the federation at the time of its first showing.

longer? probably......but bigger than a galxy class? please. galaxy class is a GOOD bit wider and has at least 10 to 12 more decks. look at the crew, 885 as compared to over 1000 on a galaxy class (assuming thats full compliment and not excluding families). i like the sovereign, but the nacells are just way too long. it doesnt look as imposing either.....

also if u look for size comparision charts on for star trek ships the sov is by far the longes and laargest federation starship to this date and yes the war bird is smaller look at nemesis the only warbird that long was shinzons scimitar

The Enterprise E is over 100 meters longer than the Enterprise D. However, the Enterprise D makes up for this in saucer section size.
