on your video.. after you done customizing your clip, when you hit ok, adobe media encoder appears.. so you compressed your movie file more than a half. Question. why, then after i customized my video then hit ok, adobe media encoder didn't appear, so then i saved 5 mins video with 200+ mb in size. so large. how was that?
What do u mean when you say large file size? Like between 1 & 2 gb? Cuz I made a time-lapse that was around 7 minutes long and had a file size of 1.5 gb
@xViKR00K3DiVx well it depends on your file type, eg if its HD, theres going to be a big size and it also depends on what format you render, h.264 will make a fairly low file size and great image quality but if you change to Quicktime and use Animation the file size will be huge. so basically you need to do a trial and error for finding the right type, also 7 min vid at 1.5gb is a good file size :) Hope I helpedd :D
@NO12Arts hhmm maybe so, my camera is only a cheap 150 doller one, but when i do colour correction the contrast looks great and then when i render h.264 the black are abit dim, but when re render the same clip/squence on quicktime the black is the same as in the prgram
@1stNightingale yess this is true, but this video is for youtube uploads mainly, and youtube vids are around 10-15 minutes and this setting does good for uploads like that, and plus if you end up exporting and its around an hour you would have different codec, but then you would trancode it to a DVD or blu ray, and when converted to dvd it fits and blu ray has a massive space.. :)
Thank you for your tutorial, it was very helpful!!!!!!!!!!

The black is because of the color correction, or if your camera sucks :P

With longer movies and different shots and styles of shots and effects file size will change dramatically as well. Just Saying.
