Exactly. I live in Montreal and the police just stomp out a joint or at worst tell you to leave a park (I'm only 19). We have a family friend in the Montreal police and they said if you're smoking on your property they don't care. Basically, weed still isn't truly socially acceptable, and if you make your private habits public, some people will react negatively. Like the classic example of an employer searching your facebook before hiring you and finding a picture of you smoking up
