When start this Fest and how long go that Fest ???
As german you think every american
eat mcdonalds all the days, and every child get a rifle to his birthday. And the most americans wear hawaishirts, shorts, white tennis socks and sneakers.
As american you think every german drink only beer and eat schnitzel and sauerkraut. And every german housing have a cuckooclock.
But both meanings aren`t true, they are only stereotypes.
@AnaloBrutalo92 altho you are right....i live in this city and we are primarily bavarian immigrants because the original settlers believed the weather and trees were similar to the areas around munich.....so we are obsessed with all things bavarian....unlike those losers in cincinati and pennsylvania who aren't hahah jk
@AnaloBrutalo92 Not all Americans think Germany is Bavaria. There are many of us here in Wisconsin who come from Bavarian families and that is why there is such a Bavarian flavor to the Germanic celebrations around the state. This particular display is patterned on the Glockenspiel in Munich which is of course, in Bavaria. My own family included, there are a lot of German Americans who families came to the areas they did because of the resembelence to Bavaria.
@AnaloBrutalo92 My own last name even smacks of Bavarian. It means, "Forest Mountain" which is very telling considering the landscape of Bavaria. Don't worry, there are plenty of us in the U.S. who know that Bavaria was once a state to itself with its own King before Germany became Germany, LOL! Even people who know nothing about Germany know about King Ludwig and Neueschwanstein. In the end, it's all about fun, fellowship and enjoying and celebrating one's heritage! Gemuchlichkeit!
@rainerzufall88 Wisconsin is "German country" (including Austria, and other German speaking areas) out here in the states. If you go to some parts of Wisconsin the street signs are all in German. It's weird because most of the people have been out here since WWII, but we still hold on to our German roots! :D
@rainerzufall88 this was actually taken from the glockenspiel in munchin but it does not have real people doing this and they clearly made a few changes\
I like your vid clip and I've rated it as awesome. Please check out my video clip of some very rare 1934 tobacco cards of old and ethnic musical instruments.
