@KrystalMethod11 Honestly im not sure what he used but for me and i think mostly everyone else the best program and easist to use is Fraps. I use it myself and it is AWESOME and very easy to use. All you need a speaker to to put with the cpu so when u talk it gets recorded, when you play and no sound comes, go to youtube on how to fix fraps or sum and there will be this kid telling you what to do, I fixed mine from his video so yea :P
