  • Mattpaleboy, you are my kind of dad -- just like Dan!! Thanks for posting this. The first thing I tell any new/imminent parent is "Buy Dan Zanes CDs."

  • hilarious intro! i have to say i am a 28 year old, who does not have any kids, can barely maintain her adult relationship, and who loves discovering new music and recently came across an album - smile, smile, smile, and listened to a few tracks and was like how have i never heard of this guy w/o realizing that he is a children's music performer i was BLOWN away

  • Amen! lol....totally agree....Dan reigns at our house as well!! Love him and thanks for this funny vid:) ~peace

  • great vid, i completely agree. We love Dan Zanes !!!

  • I wanna jam with him and his band

  • Father Goose rocks too!

  • I love Dan Zanes & so does my 2 year old!

  • Dan Zanes or Mr. Cool? You decide!

  • Wow, great job with this segment, and what a great guy!

  • Great Video

  • Did anyone hear of Greg and Steve, They have good kids music too.

  • Let me get this straight - your biggest fear about becoming a parent was that you would have to listen to music that you don't like?

Wow - I don't know what to say to that.

  • maybe slightly tongue in cheek

  • Great stuff, Nana as Mother Theresa and Daddy as GWB (uggh!!!) Funny...My Daughter loves Dan Zanes and Dave Fry who is from Connecticut.

  • Enclosed a wiggles response I am sure you will agree by the fun in the childs face that they do good in a childs mind too, i hope you like

again thank you for the intro to new age family pop tunes, they are a must

  • Thanks lamolecule for the intro, Barney, i hear you there, the wiggles on the other hand are really cool, this I like a lot too, there is another guy from the USA i came across last year that is something beautiful Han Palmer (maybe not Han) sung put your hands in the air and many others, so much education, unlike the purple dino that screams love to kids and give me your dollars to adults, way too commercial thanks for posting dan has some new fans across the water

  • that was my greatest fear also, my exact thoughts!!!

have you checked out candyland they are another awesome treat for kids from Detroit I believe, and what do kids care about politics, and why should they!!! be free while you can!!! (all those silly political comments, its about the music!!!)

  • I'm glad you posted this and my son who's 11 and I both love Dan. Not so keen on the comment about Bush. Some of us DO like him....your daughter is a cutey!

  • Aside from some political rhetoric, great video. I find it particiularly terrifying that I like my children's music (DZ) as much (if not more).

  • Dan Zanes is a true talent. I loved the Del Fuegos. Do I wish he was still doing that type of music? Yes 100%. Do I think what he's doing now is important? Absolutely! Liberals, George Bush.... who cares. This is great music for all ages.

  • Dan is great. The del fuegos were great.

  • great video, we are dan zanes fans too... and ella jenkins, elizabeth mitchell and julie frost!!

  • I love dan zane but to put down the wiggles is dumb

  • Dan Rules! I changed a string for him at a show in Montclair once and he called me (and me daughter) up to do the finale with him....a great day! We love his music...it is amazing stuff...and has made a music lover out of my 2 year-old daughter. Priceless~!

  • I've known Dan since he fronted the Del Fuegos at my college pub back in the early 1980's. We've shared and instigated many a back-stage story together. Dan is a great talent, a true friend and a wonderfully generous human being. Just say "hello".

  • I love Dan, too. I followed him around Boston for a good part of the 80's and early 90's. But not all of us fans are liberals. That woman's irrating voice in the background slamming George Bush was nauseating (scary to think it's probably the mother of your kid). And it's a damned shame your daughter doesn't know who Mother Theresa is. Oh well. LIBERALS like you are "TERRIFYING."

  • OK, I'm now going to add the tag "TERRIFYING" to this video about a father and his two year old's shared love for Dan Zanes. Regardless, I love the tolerance here! You're right, it is indeed nauseating that a grown woman (my sister) has a political belief that's different than yours. (Sigh) If only all Americans believed the same things, shared the same religion and followed the same political party, then this truly would be a great country.

  • lol, nice!

  • Im 25, and my son loves Dan Zanes music. The big surprise is, SO DO I! His music really isnt children's music that makes u wanna pull your hair out. Its more like music for everyone. I wish someone would post some of his stuff up here.

  • It really is the best, our 2 year old loves Laurie Berkner too, but Laurie's got nothin on Dan!

  • He's a lifeline for parents and anyone who believes that authentic musical culture is life-giving and participatory, not passive and competitive. I love how his album lyrics have the chords on them... it's like, here ya go, it's yours, take it to the next place.

  • What a great video. Inspiring on more than just a musical level. I am now going to forward it around the world.

    Uncle Rock

  • Great video! We're big DZ fans here ...
