@Zepster77 Thanks, you have sharp insight, Yeah i gig a lot. I was a Comedian /singer for Japanese Tourist on a Dinner Cruises, huge Catamaran off Waikiki. When i did this song i did something form the past i use to do. I haven't performed in 22yrs. Today i am doing only original Instrumentals now. I played only Electric Guitar now only playing Acoustic Guita.r this Guitar is a cheap guitar i bought to play around i am now using Acoustic Guitar. Check out my more recent Vids on my Channel. TY

You've got some nice skills, but you're probably more suited to a Spyro Gyra type thing. The chords to this tune were fairly out of whack.

You do realize you'e not even close on the chords, right? Nice effort anyways-

The song is in Amaj7th. I play it in Gmaj7th. after the Gmaj7th i should be going to Cmaj7th but i used Amin to Bmin so i can use Passing chords to get to the 7th chords. and same with the Bridge and Chorus using the 7th and 6th chords. i always substitute minor 7th for major 7th to use passing chords and Vise Versa. Major 7th chords can be changed to its relative minor chords. =)

It's not about using interchangable subs; you're substituting for completely wrong chords to begin with, esp. when the song segues into the chorus. The song's true chorus vocal melody wouldn't sound right over the chords you're using, which is why your chorus vocal bares no resemblance to Feliciano's. It's not math .... forget about the theory. Think bass notes and vocal melody to cue off of when figuring chord progressions and you'll have more luck-

thats the way i play it. and i am not trying to resemble Feliciano.  i wasn't trying to keep to the true chorus. only playing and singing to my limited range of singing.

Ahh, I get it. My bad. Is your guitar tuned sharp? I see your opening chord is in the Gmaj7 position but its Ab on mine and I just tuned to the piano. Just checking. Thanks

yeah it was tuned Sharp by accident. since my hearing went bad in the 80s i need a guitar tuner now. those days of tuning by ear don't work anymore. i was sharp by half note. its tune standard now.
