man i have dual core 3ghz and in cpu id it says core speed : 1595 mhz (1.6ghz) if i do this will my core speed be 3000mhz?

@TheZASTAVA750 ok , this trick is for intel based chipsets, an entire intel based chipset may have the centrino branding if they are certified components, c4 sleepstate is Hewlett Packard bios designa6tion operating the on demand cpu throttling,, this is what you want to shut off, of course your battery life suffers, but hey , we want speed right;) question,, are you sure it is not DUAL 1.5 gig not 3 ghz ?

@TheZASTAVA750 k, i use cpuz, and i can watch the cpu speed jump to max when i set mine to performance mode, not sure if you can do this on your g41 , mine is an hp laptop in this video, with the c4 sleepstate disabled in the bios i can max the cpu in windows, this is a core2 duo which is mobile processor this is why it has speed step throttling, it is also centrino from intel

can you please help me please, i have a hp dv7-1153CA that has a centrino processor, the processor really pisses me off whenever it throttles down when i'm playing games, it just causes so much lags in the game, i can't find in the bios how i will disable this cursed centrino, please help i would very much appreciate it

AS A response here, INTEL ceNtrino can not be turned off, but speedstep can, by watching vid , subbing and stoppimg back, more reading at ROCKNTV1 COM /TECHNOLOGIES

@creativepeasant oi, sorry ,Im am not familiar with that bios, a short goo goo search returns your machine as being intel t5800 but has a nvidia graphcs card( not centrino).. make a video of your bios, sub me and post it up here... we fix

yes it will force the cpu to run both / or more cores full time instead of the speedstep throttling method for power savings and heat control. although while i like this machine for editing my videos the intel x3100 graphics is not what i would call a gammer.
