  • It does that because the phone is not sitting on the touchstone correctly. If you move the phone to sit on the touchtone in the right spot, it doesn't do that anymore.

  • Maybe its a conflict between what the battery electronics says is the capacity and the phones accessment.

Install Preware then battery health app and calibrate your battery

  • My Touchstone doesn't even charge my phone.

Nothing shows up at all. What now?

  • I just got off the phone with a Level 3 Tech at Palm. This is a known problem, and the next release of teh webOS will have a fix for it.

  • Hi, I had the exactly same issue. Tryed to find a solution on lot of forums. Nothing.

I came back from a shop today to do some troubleshoot. Tryed an other touchstone, same issue. Finaly we replaced the backcover, Problem solved ^_^

  • mine does that when its not on it right when i adjust it it works fine

  • I'm having a similar problem at 96 % battery. :(

  • The issue was resolved by exchaging the touchstone

  • I'm having the exact same problem. What did you have to do to get it exchanged? Call? Go to a Sprint store? Was it a hassle at all or an easy swap, and was it hard to explain to them what was wrong or did they seem familiar with the problem?

  • where are all my comments going they arent showing up

  • It doesnt work when plugged into a computer! u can only charge this phone via wall adapter. Unplug from your computer if thats what your doing.

  • is it pluged into your wall or your computer? Its not supose to be plugged into a computer doesnt work.

  • pluged to the wall using the suplied cable and charger

  • Taking it off the charger isn't always a solution. If he sets it on the touchstone on his desk and walks away for a bit, he shouldn't have to worry that it will be bonging away incessantly while he's gone.

  • The other problem is if it is left on the charger after %100 is reached it could be damaging the battery since the charging is controlled by the phone and the phone is cycling between charging and charged.

  • its like its connecting and disconnecting to the touchstone but it's properly seated on it and it happens when the battery is fully charged. The main problem its the alert sound that gets annoying and you have to be turning the sound off.

  • Which usb cable are you using to power the Touchstone?

  • the cable and charger that came with the phone.. the only thing that came in the touchstone box is the touchstone base and the battery cover

  • How exactly is that an issue? If it's charged you can take it off the charger now ay? Problem solved.

  • maybe because i want it to keep charged until i get out to work....

  • Hmm, I would try having it replaced with another touchstone then. I can see how the sound would be annoying. Good luck.

  • The charge should hold; think it's telling you time to disconnect from Touchstone. If battery won't hold, you might want to exchange the Pre. I was having battery issues (among others) that exchanging solved. Good Luck. It's a great phone!

  • i had the batt problem when i got it but now it last like 15+ hours depending on use, other than this i love my pre really nice ppice of technology and hopefully with a great future... i might exchange the touchstone and see what happens
