  • U gotta love Neos!

  • he sounds like a lawn mower lol. he just wants to lay there!!

  • Proof that growling does not always indicate viciousness. This sort of growl just sounds kinda grumpy.

  • @MrClickity You are right, he still does but he is never vicious

  • 2:04 he sounds like a motorcycle idling.

  • @MrClickity I thought more of a two stroke outboard engine when you pull it out of the water haha.

  • @gnarkillkicksass Haha, now that you mention it...

  • @gnarkillkicksass Yes! ready to go...

  • I love your tender way of treating this nice and friendly dog***

  • @Freyasuse Thank you! You just watch him and you must love him...

  • Yes, they are; he has a great temperament but he is a bit stubborn too..just he needs his time and then he will do it! Definitely his " body" needs a lot of space around and in certain situations is a problem to manage him... If you get one Neo make sure to look for a good breeder to avoid bad mixture that could lead to some disease...I do not know about the Great Dane, they are beautiful looking dogs too. Thank you and good luck with your puppy!.

  • Thank you! This kind of growling is typical of Neapolitan Mastiffs, at that time he was very young and he did not understand all the rules but still today he does growl when he wants you to know that he is not happy about your command...the thing is that after that he does everything you ask for...but with his time, I call the Mastino's time....specially when I am in hurry is not the best!

  • Ive never owned a neapolitan mastiff before, only pitts. In cases like this what do you do? and does the growling mean anything?(because all dogs a different). thanks for showing your beautiful animal.

  • i have a 9 month old female Neo and it would freak me out if she ever growled or snapped like this! I know he isn't being serious, but what if he was? We have a 5 year old son, though, and have never let her show any aggressiveness from the very beginning.

  • Hehe. My dog would like to play tough too. He would growl and bare teeth. When I would pull back and get ready to reprimand him, his ears would go up tail would wag. Look like he's sayin Gees mom I am just playing with ya. Just love scaring the Crap out of me. Never bit a sole in his 10 years but sure loved letting folk know he could if he wanted.

  • This is so like my Neo Thunder,he hates to be moved when it is his couch time.I got him a treat jar,and he will do anything i ask now. Where did you get him?

  • Soooo funny! My English Mastiff, Titus, has grumpy freak-out moments before bed too. What a silly boy Ragu is...just a lump! <3

  • HAHA !!! This is great :)

  • crazy eyes I know them well, neos do crazy eyes better then any other breed.

just take him by the ear. its the only weak point on the neo.

personally I wouldn't let him bite me either, roll his lips over his teeth so he bites himself when he tries to clamp down, then lead him by the jaw to his crate. that show will repeat once, maybe twice... seriously he is going to start walking all over you

  • Ragù?? eheheh this is a good name for a Lagotto Romagnolo ;)

  • @jeanphilippejeanphil he is a neapolitan mastiff

  • Yes! Now he is very good in going to sleep but he needs his time always! Anyway the couch is forbidden now...almost....

  • You people are totally irresponsible pet owners. You are totally antagonizing this dog. This dog clearly isn't happy with your constant "bothering him" but yet you continue to do so.

You provoke him to where he is "mouthing" you to warn you, but you are so ridiculous you continue to provoke him.

Give him a few months coupled with your irresponsible way and you will be surrendering him to a shelter and wondering what the hell happened....

Shame on you stupid pet owner.....

  • @way2busy123 Just to let you know...now days he is very good going in bed ...in his bed...and he is a very well behaved dog, thank you anyway for your suggestions and for your worries for the dog.

  • Did you succeed?

  • @Deesade86 Almost...now he is too big and he has to "want" something before he does it...

  • Ragu' was bought in Sydney Australia,he is son of Khaos...he is a clown! Now 11 months old.

  • Hey, where did you get Ragu? He looks so much like my neo, same about of wrinkle, the John Travolta butt chin, same bad attitude, same markings, They even stand the same, with that duck foot.

    They have to be related.

  • @Froggyhonkey I thought mine was the same too,but he came from Melb.Where was yours from?

  • he wants to sleep on the sofa lol
