  • @ FierySockHat

The literal translation is: Transhumance hymn from Dalarna

  • Beautiful :)

Looks like your choir performed in the famous Rock church in Helsinki.

  • @adidasgrabb Thank you. And you recognised the place. Yes, our school is situated quite near the church so we always performed there.

  • I had the HONOUR, in 1992 to play this as solo oboe accompanied by the McGill Wind Symphony as part of a Nordic festival at that University. Gorgeous piece. I must make a MIDI accompaniment and play it again.

  • the name actually mens folksong from dalarna.

our choir sang this with no accompaniment for heritage festival annaheim 2010 and won 1st place gold for concert choir.

  • Fäbod doesn't mean cattle barn. It was a place in the forest or hills where young people would stay with the herd all summer long. A lonely place, as the music portrays so well.

  • @IsabellaEklof Okay, thanks. I didn't really know how I'd translate it so I just used an dictionary. Thanks for the correction.

  • Detta får mig att sakna att vara i kör! Bra gjort :)
