I filmed this video, it was taken on september 15 @soma's in san diego. The reason its only on the left ear is because it was filmed with a shitty sony hi-8 camera. I never found out how to edit and put on both speakers. The reason why there's no mic's on stage is because the other 2 mic's took a shit while they were playing their set. I have the whole set still on video, I just dont know how to edit and what not.

The vocalist in Of Machines can't compare to Anthony. Sure the dude is good and all but his range is half of what Anthony's is...
The dude in Of Machines seems to use head tones a lot... although it sounds pretty cool when he does, consider the amount of times he does it... I imagine he'd want to pack his head in bucket of ice after every show...
...oh and Anthony doesn't need to use head tones to hit the notes that dude does... Anthony only needs his modal voice! :)
Oh how I miss the old Saosin. Anthony Green was the best he ever was or will be, in Saosin. Circa is amazing, but he really let all his elements as a singer and screamer shine here.

this drummer is Alex Rodriguez, the same they have now, the drum beats on TTN were made by beau in Pro Tools then sent to a drummer for hire to learn and play on the recording.

The other band members got into it, and slowly he realized it wasn't right for him during his throat surgery at home. He decided not to go back, and made a band with an old friend as what we know today as Circa Survive.
even if that may be the case with the whole drugs situation, the man still goes crazy regardless on drugs or not. For example the TSOAF show, he was going nuts. Even on the recent tours he did with Good Old War, Person L, he went pretty insane, and these were his acoustic songs.

the only reason people think anthony is so good in saosin is because there are very few live videos of him with them. he is definitely no better than cove live. anthony screeches the high notes in this song while cove actually hits them. get over it and move on

i like both anthony and cove so i am not going to get in that argument. but it was good that anthony left saosin, everytime i watch saosin live with anthony, it seems like the rest of the band especially justin and chris don't seem to like anthony very much at all.

well, they are known now, but their commercial success was due to Cove, because his voice is much more marketable, and their earlier success was due to Anthony, give credit where credit is due.

one of the first shows cove played with saosin was a Free show at Cal Poly Pomona and he forgot the words to SEVEN YEARS!!!! Ever since i couldn't respect him. plus he is a stand in who has a shitty voice. I seem him merely as a karaoke singer

I love how no matter what Saosin video I go to there's always people comparing Anthony and Cove. It's really old and not to mention annoying. Saosin is fine without Anthony now and what Cove is doing in the band is pretty good too. But in response to blaboy, the Saosin songs that will actually stick and last will always be the ones that Anthony originally wrote. In all honesty there isn't really even any bad blood between the two. There's even a video with them singing Dear child together.

this drummer is Alex Rodriguez, the same they have now, the drum beats on TTN were made by beau in Pro Tools then sent to a drummer for hire to learn and play on the recording.
if you dont believe me, look on the message board they moderate, it says so on there.

Honestly, the only reason their shows were so lifeful back then and that he was screaming all over the place was because he was constantly on a coke trip every show he went to while in Saosin. The other band members got into it, and slowly he realized it wasn't right for him during his throat surgery at home. He decided not to go back, and made a band with an old friend as what we know today as Circa Survive.
And people stop comparing. Cove sucks. Period. ;D

sorry but im going to have to disagree.
even if that may be the case with the whole drugs situation, the man still goes crazy regardless on drugs or not. For example the TSOAF show, he was going nuts. Even on the recent tours he did with Good Old War, Person L, he went pretty insane, and these were his acoustic songs.
and as for cove, well, search cove singing with anthony. I hated cove but after seeing him onstage with ant, singing together, i accept him now.

Well, it depends what you think "emo" means. This song is definitely emotional, all of Saosin's songs are deeply emotional. "On my face I've scratched out something like a silhouette."
"I see a blank notebook page; it's my life, and there's nothing I can think to write."
Their lyrics are one of the main reasons I love them so much. People nowadays have a very convoluted meaning for the term "emo". It doesn't mean wearing eyeliner and cutting yourself while listening to Hawthorne Heights.

I agree. I hate when people say it means emotional... But overall labels are pointless to put on a band like this. All in all there just a rock band, you can throw on all these side labels made up over the past few years, but in the end there just rock music.

To be honest... I don't. He's sooo much differant now. I'm not really into all of the screaming stuff... He's voice is amazing, I'd rather hear its distinction rather then a cliche scream...

I prefer heavier stuff, but I like Anthony's distinctive voice.
I much prefer Circa Survive to new Saosin, but I just wish Circa were a bit heavier.
