thanks for the upload... i do luv the original much better, and tulo? (mr. harris' helper) is a wonderful lil' character in it (if i may say so, myself). he has since changed his name from malofou maumasi to malofou taosoga and still lives in utah... grew up on this film (english and samoan)~ luff it!
My sister got engaged today and he showed up on our doorstep with 7 stuffed animal cows and said "Can I have your daughter?" when my dad answered the door, then mumbled "sorry, I am not rich enough for eight cows"
Haha. Was this transferred from the original 16mm film? We were shown this in 8th grade, and one of the girls in the class, Panya Murray, her uncle was in this film. Nice lesson in morality and human behavior.
the british used to take a young taihitian man to help communicate with all the polynesian theyu ran into maybe it's something like that or maybe they gave him a taihia to hold

I heard that the whole island where this was filmed did not even have 8 cows on it, thats why they never showed all the cows together.

I think they're Polynesian, not hawaiian.
At least, according to Wikipedia, it's set there.
