It's a great way to decompress if you will, or unwind and let go of all the stresses carried throughout the week. One of the best ways I've found to spend alone time. Yanni and/or Sigur Ros.

I don't know if Yanni composed the whole song "Truth of touch". I saw on the album credits and it said that Yanni co-composed with Miklos Malek on 5 songs in the album: Truth of touch, Seasons, Voyage, Flash of Color, Vertigo. How can it be "The return of Yanni as you know him" when he's working with other composer to make instrumental songs. I think instrumental music is his strength that he doesn't need "help" like the Voices project. Well, I don't know if he is the Yanni I've known :(

@beatlegirl99 I was referencing specifically to his re-use of mostly old material and only adding voices on top; I'm glad to hear new material this time around, and yes his music makes use of a wide variety of instruments from different parts of the world. This fear was partially brought on by that album coupled with another artist who basically hasn't issued anything new other than various re-compilation albums over the past decade. Anyway, I'm glad Yanni is doing well :)

An utter disappointment from a once talented and gifted musician.The "voices" were bad enough, but now in the studio again it seems as if Yanni has completely lost his way. Every track on the CD is forgettable and nothing I'd want to hear over and over like his old stuff.

To each his own, if you like it then fine but for me, I will NEVER go to another concert or waste money on a Yanni CD. This thing wasn't released... it ESCAPED! :(( It's sad I was hoping for so much more.

I'd get bored with it. truth of Touch boldly mixes Greek/European style with accents of cuban and spanish music commonly found in the great musicians of South Beach. Love just about everything this man does. He is brilliant. I love the instrumentals and vocals. If his music doesn't touch you, I don't think anything will! I have been to every concert he has performed in Pittsburgh, even back in the day when it was Yanni and maybe 8 musicians, and have seen people weeping with emotion. The album and videos are great, but there is nothing that can compare to experiencing it live, in concert.

I don't know. Yes, Truth of Touch is quite different but so was Ethnicity and I feel that Ethnicity still had all the soul and heart of his previous albums despite being different. Truth of Touch strikes me as the same. It is different. But the same devotion was put into it as all the others. And really, that's all that counts.

@fisichella78 Wow bud, you sure do take things seriously. It's only my opinion. Those two songs are both fantastic, although I enjoy the straight instrumental versions more. The four singers are also fantastic, but Yanni has always been about awe-inspiring instrumental music and I see no reason for that to change. I actually like Yanni doing the odd lyrical song like he does in Truth of Touch, but I personally would prefer that he doesn't full albums with very little instrumental music.
